Not a resort - lacking in service - not clean

The place was a great spot for a retreat. It was in the mountains, so there were beautiful views and the lake was fantastic. Hotel restaurants were at local distance and were great.

I loved everything about the facilities. The view was amazing

The property has two floors and quiet. I rated four stars for staff, because the front desk staff was not readily/physically available. Other visitors also waited for front desk staff to appear. I rated four stars on the property condition, because the resort is under current remodel ; otherwise, I would have rated a five star.

Came to watch 1st and 2nd round of Conference Carolina Tournament and support our Young Harris Men's and Women's basketball team. Cheered both teams on to their 21st wins of the season. What an exciting environment. Now on to Spartanburg, SC for the Quarterfinals. Lets Go Mountain Lions!!!!

We came thinking it was something it wasn’t. Why a resort fee in the middle of winter? We thought the rooms were carpeted, but they were vinyl floors-evidently they were “upgrading”. We do not like those cold floor, and when I asked the front desk man to move us, he said it was not possible since the hotel was full and it was difficult to find a room with carpets. Okay, so the room was far from the elevator, going down narrow halls with a trolley. Our room was scarcely furnished, very small desk, and the fridge was a mini mini fridge-like taking up half the space in the cabinet. Yes, half of the usual size. No microwave, and our room was by the front door, where we could hear the music playing in the pull up area. Very disappointing. And it’s located right off a main road, not nestled up in nature, by any means. Pretty dated, could use an all around upgrade. Definitely won’t be staying here again, and actually couldn’t wait to get home.

The property setting is beautiful and is located on the shores of Lake Chatuge. Dining options on site and nearby. Marina, boat rental and storage on property. The facilities have some age on them but are still in reasonable condition. Friendly staff.
