Sheraton Desert Oasis Villas, Scottsdale

The Sheraton Desert Oasis is our favorite property in the Scottsdale/Phoenix area. Everything is a 10 on a scale of one to ten.

We came to the location in the dark. It seemed nice. In the light of day, nice was an understatement. We were new to AZ and Scottsdale. This site was large, quiet, with nice onsite amenities. We could have quietly spent the entire week there. However, we took advantage of the location to get out every day to see sites in larger AZ and also the local area. The unit was perfectly cleaned with a well stocked kitchen. We could have spent time at the local Fry's Supermarket and purchasing prepared food (We did get some things as needed), or buying supplies/ingredients to make a great meal onsite. This site is AWESOME!

I reserved a one bedroom villa. My husband and I looked forward to the room amenities including the large soaking tub. We checked in, hauled our belongings to the room, and only then learned that we had been assigned an "ADA" room that did not have a tub. I called the front desk to report that we had no tub. I was told that the room type I had reserved was not available because they were fully booked. The first person I spoke to said she would try to see if there was some way we could be moved but that it was unlikely. She said she would call me back. Meanwhile, we sat in the room waiting. After about 15 minutes, we just decided to keep the room. We were exhausted from a six hour drive and did not want to lug everything to another room. I called the front desk to let them know and asked if we could get some sort of discount. I spoke with an assistant manager, who seemed confused, and kept repeating to me that no other rooms were available. He finally told me he would need to get authorization to provide any type of concession for the problem with our room. Later, he called back and said that they would give us free parking ($20/day) and a $30 credit at the pool bar. Total value, $110. That seemed inadequate to me, which the manager acknowledged, but said that was all he could do. Our stay was for four nights at $450 a night and I have Lifetime Gold Bonvoy status. What was truly ridiculous was that on the second day, I received a call from management asking that I sit for some type promotional presentation for a 25% discount on my stay. Yeah, I don't want to stay at a place that can't guarantee I'll get the room I reserved. No thanks. And just so you know, I'm not a complainer folks. Check my many reviews. I got substandard treatment here which warranted this review.

A nice property in a convenient part of town - - - - - - - - February, 2026 Visit We visited Phoenix / Scottsdale in February and my wonderful wife found us a nice room here at the Sheraton. We visited early February, the week after the Super Bowl. For the Super Bowl we were in Palm Desert and before they switched the game the TV was showing golf… the PGA from TPC Scottsdale, which is two blocks from this Sheraton… barely a 5 minute walk. The Sheraton is also a 5-7 minute drive from the McDowell Sonoran Conservancy, which has very beautiful natural scenery and great hiking. The Sheraton is 20 minutes due south of country line dancing at Cave Creek and at other fun in Carefree, AZ. The Sheraton is build with an adobe look and feel on the outside; buildings are around the central pool, which has food service with impressive menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The exercise room is right there, and in the next-door building is The Hub, for activities for all ages. We reserved a one-bedroom unit with a pull-out sofa for 1-2 people. The kitchen has a refrigerator, dishwasher and combo microwave/air fryer / convection oven. There is no built-in stovetop, but when you ask the Front Desk they will happily bring you a two-burner electric cooktop that heats up quite quickly and works well. There are BBQ grills across the property. If a previous grill chef happened to turn the gas off not by the normal knobs, but by using the emergency shutoff, you might also be visited by the amazing Sam who will quickly get your grill lit and heated up so you can enjoy a fine dinner; thank you, Sam! Family of 5-husband, wife, 16, 16 and 18 year old daughters. President’s Day weekend. First time in Scottsdale. We booked a 2 bedroom suite and it was VERY spacious. But it was really two rooms adjoining. Rms 2007 and 2008 2nd floor. No elevator. So we had 2 baths, 2 kitchens, 2 washer dryers, 2 pull out sofas, 2 balconies, 2 gas fireplaces. View onto road but looked across to Tom’s Thumb which was a pretty view. . The sound of traffic early morning was a minor factor but if you want total quiet know you will hear it. Very clean and stocked with all free n clear laundry detergent for the washer dryer—enough for two loads. Decor was a bit dull but the space was so good and clean that it grew on me. Concierge was very helpful. Hotel was not really walkable to anything but not sure much in north Scottsdale is walkable. Very conveniently located to trails, shopping and restaurants and kierland commons. Two blocks from TPC Scottsdale course. Hotel pool was fantastic. Splash bar had good drinks, food and service and also very clean. Pool was warm and hot tub was hot and large. Plenty of chairs in sun and shade. The pool makes the place a 5. Great for families. Walk up window and they’ll deliver food to seats. The hotel lobby lacks a vibe and a bar. Grounds are pretty and clean. I’d give it a 5 but it lacked luxury feel. All in all great price, great space, great location, great pool.

The SDO villas are nicely situated with easy access to main arteries and all the best area attractions. The property itself is nicely designed and well kept. Our room was spacious and the site ad a good range of amenities, more than we needed. Staff are friendly and helpful. Holding me back from a full five stars are two things: first, our room had an odd smell. It was probably just cleaning products and it's nice to know your room has been thoroughly cleaned, but it was strong enough to be distracting (full disclosure, i have an extra sensitive sniffer). Second, we got lots of road noise and falling asleep was difficult. I suspect this can be rectified if you get an interior room.

What a beautiful property! We stayed in a Premium 1 Bdr unit on the 2nd floor, overlooking the quiet pool. We had asked for a higher floor and a quiet area, and they delivered. You can hear some street noise from the balcony, but once inside with the doors closed it was very quiet. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the bathroom had full bottles of Gilchrist & Soames products, which were lovely. The kitchen is fully stocked and all appliances worked well. It was great having a washer and dryer for a 2 week stay, and they supplied detergent and dryer sheets as well. If you needed extra of these or anything else, they were happy to send someone up with them. The unit itself was spotless and so wonderful to come back to at the end of the day. We really enjoyed the balcony as well as the smaller quiet pool area. It was never crowded. Overall, our stay was fantastic. It is located in a beautiful neighborhood, and close enough to shopping and restaurants if you have a car or use Uber. The people that work there are super friendly and seem genuinely happy to assist with anything they can. Wouldn't hesitate to return, this has been a favourite for us.

Sheraton Desert Oasis is a lovely property offering condo style stays, an awesome pool area, and convenience to everything in Scottsdale. We were in town for the Barrett-Jackson car auction and it was a 5 minute Uber away. The only reason I only gave it 4 stars is the lack of a restaurant or bar for the evenings. Staff is ultra-friendly and helpful. Definitely would stay again.

Beautiful grounds, amazing pool and hot tub. Super comfy bed, fireplace(s), well stocked, and huge shower . Everything was amazing.
