Duval House

Great little gem. Well taken care of property - comfortable beds and great ac!

The breakfast was excellent, and we got good service, and since the weather was chilly we appreciated being able to be inside a building for breakfast.

Our recent stay at Duval House was excellent! The room was very clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. Service was attentive and professional, and the staff ensured everything ran smoothly throughout our stay. The accommodations were thoughtfully prepared and made for a relaxing, seamless experience. I would confidently recommend this property! This property is incredibly charming and we look forward to returning.

Great spot, easy check in, nice large spotless room with balcony- incredible full breakfast, lovely grounds- my two complaints are low water pressure and low toilets!!!

A great find in Key West! Right on the busy main drag, but once you are through the gates a quiet, tropical paradise. And one block east or west is non of the drunken tumult of Duval Street. Something for everyone. Staff was very helpful and non-intrusive; breakfast was lovely and copious, mini-frig in room, lots of places to sit outside in sun and shade. If you are physically limited, speak with the team. There may be some different definitions of accessibility at work here. For example, our king size room was lovely. It was described as accessible and it was, except for the fact that there is a small step into the shower, for those who expect a roll-in shower. This did not matter to us, but it might for some people. Only small suggestions to make this idyllic place even better: replace the tired AC units..hard to see controls when they are so high up and even in the 70 degree weather, was not all that efficient. Put a note on the table lamp that it goes on and off by touching the base. I learned by trial and error. Add a few handrails in places with even one step. Like going up to the breakfast area, or down the front stairs. And, maybe consider having more than one nightstand in a room. People have alot of bedside stuff, and one lamp/nightstand just doesn't do it for couples anymore. All in all, a wonderful place to stay and both on and off the beaten path. I would stay here again.

The complimentary drink & the incencerity.

I showed up early & they didn't have my room finished or even tried to accommodate. The room shades would not give privacy. Charged 30 for 1 night parking. Before I checked out they asked if I wanted to check out later they would charge 60.00 more on my bill. The staff very insincere. Left before breakfast . I would not recommend this place to anyone. Staff was not helpful like helping older people carry their luggage up a flight of stairs. Not even a offer . There's alot to list. That night cost me almost 500.00 for 1 lousy night .

Front of the building is on the main drag, in the middle of the excitement. The back yard is a tropical garden paradise. Several seating areas, gazebo, two separate fountains, a heated pool. It is absolutely fabulous! It is so quiet. The room was spacious and very modern decor. Friendly staff, excellent breakfast provided. A+ rating!!!

Due to weather and our ferry being cancelled, we had to check out a day early. Duval House refunded us the 1 night stay even though it was a non refundable room.
