Bay Watch Resort & Conference Center

The hotel garage, lobby, and pools were nice. That was unfortunately the only part that was. The entire North tower had a mildew and urine smell. Our room had 2 deadbolts, both of which were broken. There were 2 phones to call the front desk, those were also broken. The 2 TVs worked. The entire unit had a foul smell, we ended up going to the store and buying air fresheners. When I contacted Vacasa and let them know about the deadbolts, all they said was ‘sorry for the inconvenience’. I guess that’s considered an inconvenience and not a security issue. We jammed a chair under the doorknob when we slept. The full kitchen was a great feature, the appliances were old and rusted out but functional. The doors and walls were rotting away and falling apart, the bathroom door is coming apart at the bottom so it scrapes the floor when you close it. The shower curtain has mold along the bottom and the shower itself didn’t drain so you showered in standing water. The front desk staff was nice. We didn’t have any housekeeping during our stay. Vacasa was not helpful with towel exchange but the front desk associates said they could exchange and gave us their phone number. Would obviously never stay with Vacasa or Bay watch again.

Everything on the property was as advertised. Great access to the beach, restaurants and barefoot landing.

We left right after checking in. It was so overcrowded and the room was gross and full of the mildew and mold smell

The pools seem dirty very overpopulated to never see anyone cleaning them. Carpet in room was always damp and dirty feeling. Bathroom walls were peeling. Def not worth the price I paid for two nights. Stayed last year and that’s why we came back. Prob won’t again.

The dining options have limited days and hours. When we did order food to our room it did arrive quickly and was good. When we did call the from desk and ask for clean towels they were delivered quickly. The facilities could have been cleaner, it's hard with sand and water, I understand that. There was always an elevator out of service. There is not enough chairs around the pools but you shouldn't come to the ocean to sit at the pool. Do your research when it comes to your condo, it may or may not have a washer and dryer and there is only 2 coin-operated or require you to download an app to pay washers/dryers in each tower. They did have a few interactive activities with kids around the pool. All in all, you get what you pay for.

Property is old and needs updating. Units look nothing like the photos on the website. Couch was sunken in, lighting was dingy, kitchen was substandard. However, the beds were vey comfortable. Air conditioner in one unit didn’t work for two nights; staff did everything they could to remedy the situation.
