Ocean Maya Royale Adults Only - All Inclusive

We had an amazing time! The staff are so wonderful. A special thanks to our butler, Juan, who was very helpful throughout our stay. Eber was my favorite bartender!!

Superb all inclusive hotel with excellent service being the highest quality. Everything here is excellent- from the food in the 5 restaurants to the coffee and ice cream shop. In the Hacienda buffet restaurant the star performer was Miguel who helped show us the way to make some delicious cocktails and he provided us with a service at the higest level.

Everything at Ocean Maya is fantastic- the staff, the service, the accommodation, the facilities, the restaurants and the food is just of the highest quality. The hotel has a coffee shop and ice cream parlour and being all inclusive all the drinks are amazing especially the cocktail of the day ! We must mention Miguel in the Hacienda buffet restaurant… his excellent service and advice with making cocktails was so good … he served us 3 amazing cocktails. Well done Miguel - it was a pleasure to meet you !

We had such a lovely stay at Ocean Maya Royale. While the resort itself had some quieter moments, the staff truly made this trip memorable for us. Their kindness, humor, and hospitality are what we’ll remember most. Enrique — we tried to catch you before we left, but you had a later shift. We wanted to thank you in person for your hospitality and for helping us secure our reservation for hibachi on our last night. You were also the perfect introduction to the resort and immediately made us feel welcomed and taken care of. Roberto — you work so hard and have the most welcoming energy. I genuinely don’t know how you keep a smile on your face while walking what feels like 15 miles a day in the sun, but thank you for making every day brighter. Manuel — every time we saw you felt like catching up with an old friend. You’re an incredibly talented bartender who introduced Harrison and me to a new drink we ended up loving, and you made us laugh every single night. Thank you for embracing us and for being such a genuinely wonderful person. The hibachi dinner ended up being our favorite meal of the trip. Huge thank you to Tony and Eric for such a spectacular dinner and for making the experience so much fun. And Carlos, our server, was completely on it the entire night.

Excellent hotel, all staff very friendly and proffessional, i recommend tipping in US Dollars or Mx Peso no problem, all staff work hard so you enjoy your holiday, food quality was great, no issues with any of the restaurants, buffett, Snack bar, used frequently with no adverse effects (tummy etc) Italian & Blue moon (Alacarte) Japanese brillient, all bars excellent, staff cannot do enough for you, to name just a couple, JoJo, (Lobby bar) Migual, Iber, Dieago, Roberto (Pool bar) Gusto, Moses & Marcatita (Animation team) rooms spotless, cleaning staff always cleaning, didnt want to go home, only down side was the seaweed, really bad, but staff worked tirelessly to keep on top of it, we would definately come back again

Just returned home after spending 28 nights in the lovely Ocean Maya Royale by H10, adults only resort. This was our 15th time visiting Mexico but first time at OMR, and I have to say it didn’t disappoint in any way. The whole resort is immaculate and the grounds are so well maintained by a team of very hard working staff. The food and drinks served in all the bars and restaurants were very good and my better half appreciated the option of quality brands such as Absolute or Smirnoff vodka. She also enjoyed the red wine served at meal times whilst our friends appreciated the white wine. I don’t drink alcohol at all but really enjoyed the mocktails e.g. Fantasia, served in the main bar by two great bar staff Jorge and Octavio. They started pouring our drinks before we were even in the door at the bar. These guys and their colleagues were excellent and good fun and able to serve 4 or 5 people at a time without making any mistakes with the orders. Impressive! I also enjoyed the smoothies from the coffee shop and my friend enjoyed the special coffees they served there too. The staff in general were all so professional and very friendly with it and we need to give a shout out to a few of the waiting staff in the main buffet. Carlos and Angel were outstanding, providing the very best service you could wish for but also always taking time to ask if there was anything else they could do for us. First class service from those guys, and their colleagues to be fair. The beach is absolutely lovely and it is just a pity about the sea weed, but that is down to Mother Nature and while the team worked tirelessly trying to remove it from the beach, it is a daily challenge for this time of year so you really need to just look beyond this natural phenomenon. While talking about the beach, I have to mention the beach volleyball as the court is one of the best and safest I have played on, with the sand being nice and deep. There were sessions at 11am and 4pm and were very enjoyable playing with the animation team. My mate Jim and I play at every opportunity and normally he has to wear a bandage on his knees to protect them when he is diving around the court (even in his late 60’s, not that you would know it to see him), but he was able to go bandage free on this court and sustained no scrapes or bruises which is a first for him. With regards to the animation team, they really are a great bunch who are very enthusiastic and friendly and appeared to really enjoy and appreciate their jobs. They worked really hard all day and night to make sure ALL the guests were entertained and enjoying their vacation, so a big shout out has to go to Viri, Martine, Victor, Moses, Gustavo and Suzy for really making our holiday. You guys are amazing. Also the DJ/sound and light technician (sorry I forget your name but you know who you are). You did a brilliant job and my apologies again for mistaking you for Victor! So, if you are looking for lovely adults only resort providing a great atmosphere and vibe, good food and drinks with a wide range to choose from and a wonderful team of friendly staff who are passionate about what they do and intent on helping the guests have the best possible experience, then book Ocean Maya Royale by H10, you won’t be disappointed. We are already looking forward to returning for Christmas and New Year. Thanks again all at OMR by H10.

Just got here and super disappointed. I feel like we got tricked. This is nowhere near a 5 star. More like a 3. Resort has a funky smell (ocean and seaweed) and rooms are older. Would be fine as a 3-star but when you expect 5 there is no way. Not even a 4. Dont understand all of these reviews. Guess I will have to make the best of it. Wish me luck!

We had two great weeks at this resort and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The room was comfortable and catered for all our needs. The pool area was quiet and clean with a ready supply of sun loungers. The adjoining Party Pool could get a bit raucous at times but it wasn’t too bad. The staff were all friendly and helpful and the food was plentiful and tasty. We turned down the offer of joining Privilege as the benefits were not fully explained to us. One of the benefits was being allowed to push to the front of the queue in the Italian restaurant, having more comfortable loungers, a private pool bar, etc. A major problem was the huge amount of sargassum on the beaches. You smelt it before you saw it. We had to sign a disclaimer on checking in that we would not complain about it; this was before we saw it. If you love beach holidays this is not the resort for you as you have to walk through yards of the stuff to get to the sea, which had even more floating in it. To be fair the hotel tried to keep it under control by using a tractor to scoop it up and dump it in a huge pile behind the water sports hut. From here a truck collected it several times a day and drove through the resort with it dripping stinking water on the paths. It marred the holiday somewhat as we like to swim in the sea.

The friendly, pro-active and accomodating service of all staff have made our stay a positively memorable one. The quality and menu choices of the restaurants absolutely delicious. A few special mentions - Miguel, manager of all food and beverage outlets is a master of anticipatory service and he trains his staff well. Front desk, housekeeping and all dining hosts were friendly and efficient. Gustavo's energy and humor kept us engaged in the Ocean activities and shows. Muchas Gracias Ocean Maya Royale!

Muy bueno la gente del Centro de Recreacion, te la hacen pasar muy bien, Viri, Susy, Moises, Gustavo y Victor (si me olvido de alguno perdon) , caminar y ver animales cono Cereques, Venados, Coaties, innumerables aves es genial, la comida en general es muy buena y los Barmans de los distintos lugares a lo largo del Hotel, destaco a Octavio que en el Lobby te atiende como un rey, la recepcion te atienden tambien muy bien con Natalia a la cabeza. Tambien mención especial para Andrea, coordinado de excursiones entre otras cosas, muy amable y agradable, Astrid del equipa de Spa y Masajes y Abigal guarda vida que tienen toda la onda.

Restaurant Dolce Vita: Nos trataron mal ya por solo hecho de decir que somos argentinos, si hay gente mala en la vida no tenes que generalizar, el mozo nos falto escupir en la cara, nos fuimos de ahi porque no nos traian la comida y cuando venis a este tipo de resort el tiempo es lo mas valioso y terminamos en un lugar de Sports donde comimos de maravilla y el Bistro, un lugar frances fue todo excelente hasta que esperamos el postre, a los 20 minutos nos fuimos, que paso no se pero no es bueno eso. Tema Limpieza, fuimos 10 dias, ultimos tres dias no se si se cebaron pero hicieron poco y nada, habia mugrecitas que estaban en el mismo lugar, despues un detalle minimo, nos dejaben chocolatitos todo las noches deseandonos un buen sueño y los ultimos dias no nos dejaron, no es indispensable pero son detalles que suman y tambien restan. Por ultimo, estuve hace 11 años aqui y ahora que volvi hay mucho sargazo en la playa, no es culpa del Hotel , es la naturaleza, ademas todos los dias trabajan horas para sacarlo pero necesitarias 100 horas por dia para que no haya, lo unico que objeto es que en los videos promocionales del hotel no hay sargazo y despues vas y te encontras con eso
