Susana de la Pool is one of the best in this place along with all the entertainment team Gustavo, Viri, Chiki Baby, Moises and Victor as well as the Barthenders. Jonny, Miguel, Panchito and Diego.

Me and my 5 best friends chose Ocean Maya Royale as our destination for our University graduation trip! We had a fantastic time during our stay. The overall atmosphere of the resort was welcoming and positive. The rooms had everything we needed and were cleaned timely each day! They kept our mini fridge stocked for us. The pools were where we spent the most of our trip, and we loved our time there! The activities pool always had something fun going on, and we had a blast watching and participating. The staff were very friendly and went out of there way to make sure we had everything we needed. All of the bartenders were very kind and went out of their way to make fun and random drinks for us. The experiences team was the highlight of our trip. Our favourite team member, Gustavo, took the time to get to know us, encouraged us to participate in activities, and made our trip so much fun. He would check in on us often to make sure we were having a great time, and even ran a scavenger hunt for our group to win prizes, just for the fun of it! We had a great trip and I would recommend this resort over and over again!

The resort was beautifully maintained and kept in amazing condition throughout our stay. Every single member of staff worked incredibly hard and always did it with a smile on their face! the friendliness and positive energy around the resort really made the experience unforgettable. The drinks selection was excellent with plenty of variety, and the service was consistently top class. You could tell the staff genuinely cared about making sure guests had the best possible holiday. I’d definitely recommend downloading the app to keep up with all the entertainment and activities going on around the resort. The biggest highlight of our holiday was the entertainment team. Gustavo and Viri went above and beyond every single day to keep everyone involved, laughing, and having fun. Their energy, kindness, and effort made our trip so special and memorable. There was also plenty of wildlife around the resort which added to the experience. If you’re looking to book excursions, Margarita is definitely the person to go to, much cheaper than booking online from what we found. The food was immaculate with so much choice across the different restaurants. We stayed for two weeks and genuinely didn’t want to leave. Huge credit to all the staff for their hard work, friendliness, and the effort they put in every day to make guests feel welcome.

There was so much we liked about this hotel, including: -Smaller hotel which was easy to get around. Also, we got to know a number of the staff, so it was more personal -Good range of food and drink on offer, even without upgrading to Privilege. Our favourite was the Italian restaurant. There are also Mexican, French and Teppanyaki restaurants plus a buffet that has theme evenings. You don't pay a cover charge at any of these though they are on a first come, first served basis. The exception is the Teppanyaki restaurant, where you have to go along at 1745 on the day to reserve your space. -There is live entertainment each evening. This seems to be a weekly programme, so if you are there for longer you'll probably see a repeat - We'd highly recommend the Mayan evening held weekly in the Italian restaurant. This does cost extra, but it includes an excellent dinner with wine and a cocktail plus lots of information on the Mayan culture and traditional dances. - Though we're not big drinkers, there is at least one bar open at all times -We loved the variety of wildlife around. Apart from the ubiquitous iguanas and coatis, we also saw raccoons, cereques (a bit like a small capybara) a deer and even a crocodile! Plus numerous birds, including frigate birds and pelicans. -All the staff were very pleasant, friendly and helpful.

- Our room looked a little tired. On arrival there was a chunk of plaster lying by the sink and a hatch in the ceiling above didn't look too secure. The only mirror was in the bathroom, which was a bit odd. Also though we were on the ground floor, there were a few steep-ish steps to go up and down with no hand rail, which was a bit tricky with our creaky hips and knees! -The downside of the smaller location, which we generally preferred, was that everything is close, including the two swimming pools. One was partly used by Privilege guests. The other, only a matter of yards away, seemed to be the 'party pool'. Throughout the day there were various games and activities going on, accompanied by loud hosting and even louder music, which we couldn't escape from if we wanted to sit on the beach near to facilities. For many people this would be a bonus, but for us it was a negative. We'd certainly consider going back to the hotel, but these are the reasons it didn't get a perfect score from us.

My stay was amazing, and my butler David was exceptional. He responded to my every request. Will definitely visit again.

Le personnel était très attentionné et disponible tout au long de notre séjour en particulier au restaurant et pour l'entretien de la chambre. C''est rare de rencontrer un tel service! Le buffet était également très bon et varié, régulièrement approvisionné. Nous avons apprécié la taille humaine de ce resort, les espaces extérieurs sont très bien entretenus et arborés, quel plaisir de pouvoir apercevoir régulièrement des animaux

Pas d'accueil en Français lors des explications sur le fonctionnement du complexe.

We love that this property is a bit away from the craziness of Cancun, while still being easily accessible from the airport. The facilities are kept in great condition, and all of the staff are extremely friendly. The food is delicious, and evening entertainment is fun.

Das Essen war super, Frühstück extrem umfangreich und sehr gut, sehr freundliches Personal an der Bar waren wirklich top, auch da sehr freundliches Personal genügend liegen genügend an ja alles ziemlich gut alles sauber auch Restaurants und Toiletten

Es gibt wenig zu meckern, etwas nervig war es an den Pools sehr laut war und es überwiegend von sehr redselig Amerikanern dominiert war, der Strand war nicht so optimal da ist jede Menge Seegras und Algen, gab aber da kann das Hotel ja auch nichts dafür , allgemein gesagt ist das Hotel glaube ich schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber noch recht gepflegt in der Summe das Frühstücksrestaurant hatte von der Geräuschkulisse ein wenig von einer Bahnhofshalle

There were a couple of issues with our room but our concierge Leidy was very helpful and quick to get the issues fixed. The food was delicious and all the staff was very polite and accommodating. The resort was well maintained and clean. Dolce Vita resteraunt had a lovely ocean breeze and beautiful view of the water. The sports bar was a bit disappointing and the service there could've been better. But Tiger at the Lobby bar was grrrrreat!!! Would recommend for a relaxing week away 🙂
