Flitwick Manor

Lovely country house Hotel with bags of character. Very comfortable and spacious room with smashing views. One niggle was the shower which was low pressure. Great 3 course dinner with melon starter and parfait pudding the highlights along with the server. Cooked breakfast to order with perfect poached eggs and a decent pot of coffee. Same excellent server. Invoicing for my room stay is still not resolved which is a bit of a niggle as I was travelling on business. Otherwise faultless and good value for money.

Location was good and staff very friendly and helpful.

Rooms were cold and waited 90 mins for a burnt pizza.

Great breakfast, lovely dinner, comfortable room, friendly staff. We chose it because it was a short walk to the local church, where we were attending a funeral and it was perfect.

Was there for my wife’s birthday (mentioned during booking and check in online). No happy birthday and the person that greeted us immediately gave away how much I had spent which put a dampener on my gift.

My viewvof the carpark wasn't great. I went to study but was disturbed all night by the couple next door snagging all night. The walls were that thin I could tell you blow for blow literally. Hence to say study was disturbed. Hotel as you can imagine is starting to look dated but it is a very old building

Charming but in need of updating.  Peaceful area and a nice hour's stroll (or less) into the attached Manor Park and its lovely pinetum. It was very muddy and boggy in the park in February, wellies are a must! Our room (12) was classed as a 'superior' but I don't think that was warranted.  I've seen far nicer rooms on the website, perhaps we drew the short straw. We had a double bed which felt small, these days I like a king in a superior room.  We were up in the roof with an anteroom up a very narrow and winding stair,  a maid's room perhaps. Characterful. But the bathroom needed regrouting, a couple of tears in the wallpaper and the small window needed replacing. The shower pressure was pretty useless! Not bad on cold but hot was a trickle. It took ages to rinse the soap off. Overall,  not bad for night,  but we wouldn't come back.

The staff are fantastic!
