location is fantastic. the staff were fabulous and couldn’t do enough

our room was a bit small and the bathroom way too small.

Had previously stayed at the older Universo Hotel. The new Hotel is quite beautiful and modern.

The hotel is in a great location facing out on to a quiet square with lots of restaurants nearby. The staff are super friendly, very helpful and professional - everywhere, at reception, in the breakfast room, in the restaurant. The quality of food is very good - we had two excellent breakfasts and dinners.

My room was small but very comfortable. When booking, I obviously picked the "piccolo" which was an error on my part. If you like having space, book a bigger room.

Room was entirely too small and was the only one between floors. You had to take an elevator and still walk up or down a flight of stairs. The only window looked out over a set of outside steps that were being used so no privacy. The bathroom was really dark and there was at least one light out in the bathroom. Very disappointing.

In the hotel right now. My room is the smallest I’ve ever had, anywhere in the world. That I have to spend four nights here in this doll’s house fills me with horror! No room to walk beside the bed. NO ROOM for suitcases. Thankfully I’m staying here alone and can open my suitcase in the bed. But this is ridiculous. Just come from much nicer (and much cheaper) heritage hotel further north near Piazza Del’ amfiteatro…. Wish I were still there…..

A beautiful hotel centrally located in Lucca On a beautiful square, illuminated by night. A short walk from the station. So pleased I stayed here. This is a great Marriott property to explore the delights of Lucca. A warm welcome on a late arrival, great Marriott recognition and a lovely suite were much appreciated. Mare in reception is a great ambassador for Marriott, and was both charming and professional. Great bed, linens and all you need for a luxury stay. Breakfast outside very nice. Drinks and nibbles at Happy Hour a must. Look forward to returning to this hotel soon. Thank you. Highly recommend.
