"DO NOT BOOK—DANGEROUS, MISLEADING, AND NOTHING LIKE THE PHOTOS"

This property is extremely misleading online. The photos show a clean beachfront resort, but the reality is a run-down, poorly maintained building in serious disrepair. The pools were green and unusable, and parts of the property were blocked off. The overall environment felt unsafe, and I did not feel comfortable even entering the building. I chose to leave immediately and did not stay. This is not a suitable place for travelers or families and does not match what is advertised.

"Nice room with awesome view."

We stayed in an individual owned unit in the Driftwood building. Unit 51011. The room was clean and updated. Loved the view. Close to Walmart and restaurants.

"what a disappointment"

Don't be fooled by website photos. The room we had was nothing as pictured. The room was gross and nasty. Floors were sandy and sticky. Had not been swept or mopped. Bathtub is stained as well as shower curtain. Water leaked from ceiling. Mattresses were hard and broken down. Linens stained and dingy. Towels stained. Air conditioner barely hanging in case and it was nasty. filter needs cleaned. Balcony was the nastiest. Air unit dripping and rusty . Patio door fell out of track and difficult to lock. This place was a huge disappointment.

"DO NOT STAY!"

My family and I went to the sea mist hotel for a two night stay. We were put on the highest floor. Elevator didn’t work. No wifi (worker lied when we called and gave us a fake wifi pass that didn’t work for the room). No shower curtain. Room and hotel its self was dirty. Got a refund but we booked a room with three beds the original had three but the refund had two twin beds. Overall, it was a scam and wasn’t worth the amount we paid.

FALSE ADVERTISEMENT! TV was broke, tub was filled with dirty water, sheets were dirty. Garbage was left outside the balcony and we didn't even have toliet paper. Don't waste your money

"It’s not about mine experience it’s about now yours!💯"

. Well Seamist Resort The Units have individual owners that own each condo in the Tides and the Driftwood, my wife and I are cleaners we manage 60 units ourselves. You know going in first with the amazing dedicated company that we work for now, First starting ,yes it took so much longer to get out of the unit because we were catching up with the old cleaners that didn’t really clean much. The problem is the cleaners in Myrtle Beach. They want to get in and get out and paid.. our last company we worked with , the cleaners will be out of a unit in 10 minutes. How?🤔Youd have two beds, stove, refrigerator, all furniture, sweeping mopping, changing sheets, which was triple sheet also 10 pillowcases wiping everything down sides of dressers, ceiling fans, pillowcases and yes it actually takes seven seconds to change a pillowcase . Trust me I’ve timed it. And out in 10 min smh!🧐My wife and I used to get units taken from us because we would be in a unit longer, but we was only cleaning up after the other cleaners that work for that same company but 👀see now we have our own units to take care of yrs 60 and like I said it took a while to first get in and get out of first, oh but now it’s going in and clean up after simpler the guest regardless you clean everything you supposed to wipe everything every single time and it makes it so much easier and so much cleaner and you get good reviews and you also get tips yep 😉but the main thing is that my wife and I love a clean place not just for us but for you or anyone that wants to come and have a nice vacation without ruining their favorite pair of socks every time they take off their shoes…do you want to test me on my Word.. OK go and book with (BEACH LIFE)we might surprise you and you know you’ll get to save those brand new Nike socks you just bought lol and yes, there won’t be no hassle for you or your family So the answer is clean Everything.!! The last company we worked for would be saying well…..”You don’t have to clean all that”then my wife and I would be like it’s dirty. You have to clean it. That’s your job lol we got fired, but we got hired💯

"Cross this one off"

I put a one star because we were so disappointed. We paid for three beds, we got two beds. One of them didn't have cover and I was told they'll bring my cover in the morning. The TV didn't work, no refrigerator, no stove, the hot water didn't work until the next day. The elevator was down for a while, the swimming pool was dirty so the kids couldn't go swim. They told us they would give us half our money back, but before we left they didn't even want to give us anything back. Everything they show on the picture is false.

"The health department shut down most of the pools"

Sea mist won't let me post my photos anywhere else which should be your first red flag about this place. No customer photos on any sites from guests recent visits. Pools are green. Everything broken or gross. No towels or extra toilet paper no toiletries. No coffee no cups. Basically no amenities at all. Staff rude and no idea how to run a hotel. They worth everything on paper and there was serious lack of communication between front desk and house keeping. I booking an oceanfront room and had to settle for a resort view cause the cleaning stuff didn't clean the room. This place should be condemned and the whoever owns this place should be sued for false advertising this place.
