Sea Mist Oceanfront Resort

1. Website says it's Pet Friendly, and has a $75 pet fee. Upon arrival they told me it's NOT pet friendly and if anyone asks to say I have a service animal. The Pet Policy page on their website is down. Tried calling & e-mailing ahead of time with no response. 2. Lack of employment at the front desk during busy times. One worker is trying to manage the desk and phones, so phones just don't get answered. Lobby was gross, smelled musty, damp and the carpet was not only covered in staines but littered with garbage on the floor like it hadn’t been vacuumed in weeks. 3. No parking. They direct you down the street to your building and even though there is a parking garage and a few street spots, they were all completely full. Leaving us to park back up at registration and walk down with all our luggage, dog and baby. Super inconvenient. 4. Room was mediocre, sand on the floors and sheets. Bathroom was missing bath towels, when I called down to the desk for some they said they were too busy and I'd be better off coming to get them myself. Mind you, the registration office is a walk up the street, not just right downstairs. 5. We booked a balcony room and the balcony door didn’t open at all. I tried calling the front desk multiple times, but no answer so I gave up. 6. All of the pools were closed except one. So they had one pool open for like 4 buildings. The rest of them were lime green, hadn’t been drained, cleaned or maintained in god knows how long. It was disgusting. The water park also isn’t open, with no warning ahead of time, there wasn’t anything on the website or when booking. Both the pools and the water park are beyond outdated, paint chipping and peeling everywhere. 7. Overall, the entire property is very very outdated and in poor condition. The closure of the pools and water park were really disappointing but the location/proximity to the beach was great.

I booked three nights at first and got cancelled by property as over booked, considered lucky as later next day, I managed to book one night myself again as wanted to experience with hotel, found out it was a terrible experience, a lot of trash placed close to elevators, room condition bad, have no internet and even no hair dryer.

2 star property. Staff at front desk was great. Overall it is an ok place to shower and a good night sleep.

Check-in, started with 3 receptionist for approx 20 families checking in. About 1/2 hour into check-in 3 others joined to help, but had to wait 1 1/2 hours for room to be cleaned after complaining to the manager. Found that ALL POOLS except 1 were closed until further notice and the wave pool and slides were closed until further notice for unknown reasons, no compensation when people came here for the water attractions with our kids, drove over 400 miles to stay at this so called resort. Paid resort fees for what? Luckly we brought silverware from home, the room was supposed to have utensils for 4 people, but there was not enough. Flooring was damaged, room smelled like an old sour dirty mop was used, mold along the floor molding in the bathroom, floor felt like sand on the tile. Second day there I asked for new sets of towels and coffee, called 4 times, given different answers from front desk to include that they ran out of coffee, never got the towels or coffee that night. Called on third day at 8:00, was told housekeeping comes in at 9:00, went to the desk at 10:00 just to find out housekeeping just came in at 10:00. I was told that I needed to hunt down housekeeping, found the 1 housekeeper at about 10:45, he told me that they have coffee but no towels, I told him they had towels but no coffee last night. He told me that the washers were broken, he came back 30 minutes later with the towels and the coffee. To many issues and not worth the price. Not recommended.

Our room was great! I was unsure due to the horrible reviews, but it was excellent! Almost all the pools are shut down but one, which was disappointing, but we weren't charged for them. The hotel on the outside was a little intimidating, but when I opened the room door it was a different story. There was some DIY looking job on the transition on the floor, but who cares! The room was clean, smelled perfectly fine. The beds were clean and slept okay. We stayed in 40214 I ahve absolutely no complaints about Sea Mist. Staff was very nice. Check in was easy. Staff explained exactly where the building was, parking and gave us a map. Check out was easy too. Would definitely stay here again! No complaints

Paid for a premium room nothing about was premium 20 plus year old appliances tvs were staticky No new towels the whole stay one trash bag the whole stay No smoking facility but smelled like weed the whole stay All the pools but two were green Water park was not open as advertised 6th floor room but no elevator to top We had to walk up the stairs to get to our room

Stayed is very expensive and all the amenities described by the hotel are not provided.

The hotel I booked was not the hotel I stayed in and they were filthy plus we requested towers and wash clothes from the time we got there til we left and never received any plus no tissue porch light and nun of the pools worked they were all nasty
