Sea Mist Oceanfront Resort

False advertisement. The website shows a very large nice water park. It is listed under the amenities. It looks like it has been closed down for a few years. The grounds were trashed and the elevator was nasty and smelled like smoke. The front desk staff were very nice. This is one of two positives. Hotels.com messed up our room, the itinerary they sent was for a 6 person room. The room they booked for us was barely a 4 person room. Sea Mist did compt us a room at no charge. Second positive. Both SeaMist and Hotels.com ruined our family vacation. They both should be shut down.

Just because they know it's a tourist site doesn't mean you have to start lacking or your properties

We had to purchase cleaning supplies and new bedding bc our pull out bed was nasty and had a huge stain on it. SO we had to throw tons of blankets over it then we bought new bedding for all of our beds and had to buy mop and broom. The only good thing is beach is close, and and trash on walk ways outside, no one walks around and cleans the grounds. there is no room service, no maids daily. only 3 small pools were open. Not the water park. We booked just for water park and expedia fails to update it is closed. We also tried to cancel before we had arrived and check in and were told we would have a $130 fee maybe more from expedia!!!!! I tried to call multiple times the hotel directly & got no one to answer. I also sent them a message & still no response! We decided to stay to not lose money. It was a joke & our room was not like picture but once I cleaned it, moped it and sanitized it.. We had to walk to office- not connectedwith hotel building to get towels. We also bought toilet paper and coffee. there is no toaster. tv was glitchy-not clear picture. there was a party on the roof top down the hall from us-loud music balloons flying all over the property, no one cleaned up. trash was overflowing in our rooms, and the one trash can by elevator in our building had three trash bags sitting next to it and boxes on top! buildings were closed to damage and must been remodeling slowly! they were nice but no maids! Maintenance guy was amazing! beach is close! no vending machine.

We cancel for they close water park and something So there add awas off we change to anther motel i call them there thing are open and they have handycap room

Was right on the beach, which was a plus for what we were looking for. The property overall was really good, only complaint was never saw or observed the presence of a housekeeper. This seems like it was and could be an amazing even unbelievable place to stay, if they just had more staff to cover the sheer amount of rooms they have

Despite paying the resort fee the water park area was closed. There was no communication before arriving that these areas would be closed. I picked the location for my 3 year old to enjoy the water park areas that it showed and we paid for.

Check in was a breeze. Parking was a nightmare. As big as the property is you’d think they would be able to accommodate for guest vehicles. The room felt very dirty. There was a roach in the bathroom. Will not return.

I was worried after reading some of the reviews but decided to stay anyway. It was very clean, comfortable and the staff were very friendly. I was disappointed bc the lazy river pool area is closed and the hot tub. But overall I was pleased.

Loud, Dirty

The room was not clean. There was sand on the bed and the floor. A garbage can only in the bathroom.
