Sea Mist Oceanfront Resort

Terrible only thing good was it wasn’t any bugs but make sure you bring your own tv and Wi-Fi

Stayed two nights. Room was very clean. Bought our own toilet paper, though. No TV, no Wi-Fi, no room services, hotel golf carts parked in handicap parking, elevator didn't work. Fireworks on the beach at 1:00 a.m. sounded like they were on our balcony.

Upon arrival we were greeted by a very nice lady. We checked and they let us know that the internet and cable was done. We fight a day or so it would be back on, but it never did the entire week we were there. We went to our room only find that it was beyond trashed and no beds. It was also not the room we had booked online which was supposed to be an ocean view. We went back to the front desk and showed them pictures we took and pretty much threw a fit. They put us in another room which was supposed to be the original room we paid for in the first place. It was dirty so we cleaned it up to our standards. When we arrived, they tried to charge us $130.00 more than what our original booking was and we flat out refused. They said ok, but due to the water park not being open which was the main reason we booked this place in the beginning we were very unsatisfied with this establishment. It was an absolute rip off and we will never use this establishment again. Extremely unsatisfactory and dialysis this hotel.

Stay here last weekend 8/12/24 and this place is infested with German roaches!! 🪳 The first night we only saw 2 but the next night roaches was crawling everywhere so we left in middle of night with my grandbaby and dog to find another room! They would only give a partial refund, would not refund 1st night or pet fee!! Bought roaches back home with me and had to call a bug man to my house! It took manager 3 days after I got back home to call me and he was as nasty as the rooms and said he would not refund all my money! He has a Charlotte number 1 980 200 2822! Water park was broken and look like it had been for years, we had no cable, no internet and elevator was broken and roaches all over our room!

That was horrible, pool wasn't work, I don't have blanket in my Boths rooms, no toilet papers and my Boths room, I have to go to the office a block away to get it and guess what ?? Someone hit my car and run, are you serious? Yes and now I have my car hit without anyone to be responsable for the hit, and when I do my reservations shows a beautiful water park in the property and when I get there they told me is not working? Are you f Seriuos? I need a refund a list half of what I paid cuz this is ridicules

Lastimosamente la edición de las fotos es increíble para engañar a la gente, entiendo que es una propiedad gigante y muy muy antigua, difícil de manejar si las instalaciones son pésimas, totalmente descuidadas, solo funcionaba 1 piscina y a las demás parece que les había caído una bomba atómica, el tiempo se detuvo en este hotel, todo viejo, todo destruido, abandonado, basura por todo lado, las habitaciones estaban medianamente aceptables, pero en realidad un pésimo aspecto. Muy lamentable. Me cobraron de 2 días de “limpieza” que jamás hubo tal cosa. Lo único rescatable es que esta cerca de todo, pero mi familia y yo no quisimos hablar del tema ya, y solo disfrutamos de todo lo demás, menos del hotel. Que lástima.

Upon arrival the place Wasn’t clean , no tv , no working WiFi , not well equipped for the amount of guess . Pool wasn’t fully open and the water was close. It was disappointing to spend all that money and not getting what promoted, will not recommend or Not coming back-

I didn’t like that the water park wasn’t opened, this wasn’t found out until I drove over 8 hours to get there They couldn’t find my reservation at first and then they didn’t know how to tell me to get to the motel without using my goggle maps The room was in terrible condition The toliet ran constantly unless we physically put the flap down No maid service the whole time I was there I went to office to get Wi-Fi password because wasn’t giving to me at check out but it didn’t matter the Wi-Fi didn’t work the whole time I was there I had to pick up sheets to change our beds myself and they gave me pool towels to dry off with for motel towels and that’s it The property was very dirty and needed to be cleaned The creepy garage parking was unsafe and very packed and overcrowded Their was no rolling luggage carts when we checked in so after driving to get there my husband had to physically unload car by hand because we had a 3 year old that was tired so I couldn’t help him Going down to the beach in the breeze way was over grown with weeds and grass I checked in and was told by Expedia I still owed 60 dollars well they charged me almost 68 said it sss for resort fees and taxes I don’t know how they call this a resort You got a room , pools and nothing to make it a resort I constantly smelled marijana on the property, hallways elevators etc It was a terrible place to stay and I only booked it for the water park for my 3 year old but again didn’t find out it was closed f

I felt so uncomfortable there, I only went to this hotel because it was the only one that allowed my German Shepard in. Everything was so dirty.And it smelled like cigarettes ,so much sand on the beds it was disgusting! I don't recommend this to anyone,Please don't stay here.

The rooms are definitely not what you see online. The state had the water park closed and we were not aware of that until we asked! The room had a moldy smell to it! Not staying here again, and I don’t recommend this hotel to anyone!
