Nice rooms, real clean, patios were cute with the succulent display.

Tight parking, hardest bed known to man, even harder couch.

Great place. It’s our 5th time staying there. Highly recommend.

You want it firm, factual, and difficult to dismiss as “emotional” or unreasonable. Stick to concrete failures: misleading breakfast claim, nonfunctional premium feature, overcharge, and poor resolution. We were disappointed with our stay at Pelican Inn & Suites, especially considering the premium price charged. The “included breakfast” advertised on the website consisted mostly of inexpensive packaged snacks and instant oatmeal, which did not match expectations set by the property. We also paid extra for a premium fireplace room, only to discover the fireplace was nonfunctional. When this was brought to staff attention, the response felt dismissive and lacking accountability. Most frustrating was being promised a credit for the issue, only to be repeatedly delayed and jerked around afterward. Overall, the experience did not justify the cost, and the hotel failed to deliver the quality and service that was advertised.

Location was great. Staff was friendly when we checked in. Room (suite) was nice. Beds were comfortable. The succulent garden and small creek was beautiful.

There was water leftover from a previous guest in the coffee machine water reservoir. Felt like it should have been empty for sanitation reasons.

I like the location

I feel like the hotel is stingy about breakfast. The reason I booked this hotel above the others on the same street was because they listed they have breakfast in the morning. I thought that’s great to save money instead of eating at a restaurant. The breakfast was lackluster. My husband and I were disappointed because the hot water ran out for the Quaker Oats cups they had given us so I used cold water. They had yogurt, granola bars, lemon bread from the store. We never got to eat the lemon bread either because kids in front of us got the last slice. A woman asked the front desk worker if she could provide more bread. The worker told the lady “no what’s gone is gone, come again tomorrow morning for breakfast”. The coffee machine was empty for my husband and I. The breakfast room was in the front lobby which is very very small.

"Breakfast" offerings were sad. Partial ocean view was from a room at the very back of the property sitting on the shared deck, where you could see the ocean if you really tried.

We had a lovely stay at the Pelican. Our room was clean and bright. Very quiet property. Loved the fireplace, and the ceiling fan. Steps away from Moonstone Beach. We had a partial view room and had a patio outside our room where we could still see the ocean. It was nice. This Inn has the best towels of any hotel, they're fluffy and fit all the way around. We needed an additional item and called the front desk and it was handled promptly. The front desk staff was always courteous and helpful, day and evening. I will say, there is only one chair in the room (we had a king room) so one person had to sit on the bed. Which is fine for a moment, but for longer is no fun, it would be nice to have two chairs. (Maybe there isn't enough space.) Just a personal thing. Overall, excellent place to stay in Cambria!!

We were there for our anniversary and the phone and fireplace didn’t work. For some reason they could not fix them. Very disappointing especially the fireplace. To working. Don’t understand why we were not offered another room. We did get a very small discount.
