Pelican Inn & Suites

Our entire experience was wonderful from the very warm welcome on checking in to the absolutely beautiful room when we opened our door! The room was exceptionally clean and well appointed, the bed and pillows very comfortable and the balcony inviting and roomy for two.

Old room. Needs an upgrade

The bed was comfortable. However, the fitted sheet at one corner was not put on correctly so one corner was popped out. Tried to correct it but it wouldn’t budge without having to make the whole bed. We just hoped it would just be corrected this following day while we were out. We inquired at the front desk about housekeeping but were told we have to actually ask if we wanted our room done. I guess that’s new. I thought it was automatic when there no “do not disturb” sign. The building, the hallway, our room were clean. I loved the colors of the walls and flooring… beiges and whites. It was quiet. We slept with the window open and had a fan on. The weather was pleasant though windy at times.

The first front desk lady was not welcoming at all. We came earlier than the check in time so we ask where she can suggest we can hangout while we waited. She was dismissive and was not friendly at all. We were uncertain if she had limited English or if she was just attending the front desk for someone else while they took a break. It just seemed odd.

This is a dog friendly hotel, but the dogs were well behaved. We paid for a full view of the ocean and that's what we got. It was wonderful sitting on the balcony, watching and listening to the waves. Very clean.

The location was great and the room was spacious and bed very comfortable. The breakfast was very disappointing- they had 2 breakfast cakes, granola bar, apples and bananas and coffee. Nothing else to drink and nowhere to eat it. Our bathroom was in desperate need of upgrade. The tub faucet was sticking out of the wall. It had 2 sinks however one of them sprayed water all over when used.

Absolutely loved this Inn and their location! The front staff- Sam was wonderful. He checked us in and discussed the upgrades. We decided an ocean front would work better. The room with the fireplace and view was so romantic! He even provided us wine glasses and extra blankets! What great customer service! Enjoyed the breakfast too!

Uncleanliness, check in unfriendly

Nice location, good atmosphere, excellent room, could use a breakfast option, parking a bit of a challenge. Walks on boardwalk by ocean. Cambria is a traveler friendly town.
