Sunscape Dominicus La Romana - All Inclusive

Received a hard sales pitch on arrival after 15 hours travelling to join SunClub Lounge. No arrival drink. Hotel going through a brand change and very tired, needs investment. Neither 4 or 5 star. Both pools filthy, not enough shades and neither adult only. People coming off beach and rinsing feet in pool. Pool cleaner rinsing his net of debris in the only shower by pool. Hotel next to a construction site. Take sea shoes as rocks getting into sea. Beer is pure froth. No reservation system for restaurants only clicker tool (18 tables ahead of you!). Waited 90 mins one evening and clicker still did not go off by 10pm. Buffet selection lacking in variety and amount of food and cannot cope with amount of people. Not inclusive of English - staff don't speak or take up the offer of free lessons. All entertainment in Spanish. WiFi poor and hotel app. rarely works. There is nothing inclusive about this hotel. Shame on Tui for a total misrepresentation of the hotel. Waste of hard earned money, £4,800 for 2 of us. I am an experienced traveller of the Caribbean and will never return to this hotel and would not recommend it.

This property was nice the food needs a little bit more taste and certain things need to be cooked more like the hot dogs but everything else excellent

We stayed at Sunscape Dominicus for 10 nights as a family of five and overall had a fantastic stay. The entertainment team was one of the best parts of our trip – a big thank you to Samson, Josue, and Angelita, who brought so much energy, fun, and warmth every single day. They truly made the holiday extra special. We also had amazing service from the restaurant and bar staff – Domingo at Kaleidoscope, Santo in De Mario, and Francis at the pool bar were all outstanding, offering friendly and attentive service throughout our stay. A special mention goes to Juan, the customer service supervisor, who was incredibly helpful and attentive. He went out of his way to assist us and even helped organise a small birthday celebration for our mum in one of the restaurants, which meant a lot to our family. Breakfast and lunch were both very good, with a wide variety of options. Dinner could be improved, as there was a lack of variety and the food became repetitive over the course of our stay. The pools were fantastic and the beach was beautiful – clean, scenic, and a real highlight of the resort. Our only suggestion for improvement would be the hotel rooms. We noticed a damp smell, and the cleaning wasn’t always up to standard – this area could definitely use some attention. Overall, we had a memorable family holiday made even better by the wonderful staff and gorgeous surroundings. Thank you to everyone who made our stay so enjoyable!

This resort was Awesome. I will definitely return. From the room to the food to all the service given to me and my family I only have great feedback to say. Rosanna was our Room service concierge and she was Amazing and Lovely. If and when I return I would request for her to take care of us once again. Food was so good and overall experience was outstanding.

we had a very good time here for the 2 week stay there is plenty of excellent food you wont go hungry tiki taco is a must we went 3 times and service was excellent every time we used windows buffet at breakfast and lunch sometimes evening meal we did tip at breakfast and lunch to miss Jaqueline who really looked after us we will miss her so much tipping goes a long way over here to the ones who deserve it anyway we did eat at chopsticks we was told we didnt have to book here ended up we did but there was 11 of us so probably the reason why same for the pizza place so just check i will say book chopsticks the food is cooked in front of you and they put on a bit of a show food and service was excellent overall cannot fault this place sometimes language can be a tricky but nothing to worry about you will get there in the end getting beds around the pool was never a problem if you get down early our stay had 2 rooms with connecting doors it was beautiful maids did an excellent job we did tip housekeeping as they were amazing never went short of water towels or sometimes the mini bar filled up again i think that was down to tipping as that only happens on the sun club vip This place is beautiful and well looked after they work very hard everywhere at the hotel the weather was beautiful had 3 showers lasted about 10 minutes then the sun was back out and most days was around 39 degrees entertainment was very good again they work hard and long days The seating at the sea can get busy but must say if you can get there the view is amazing we will go back at some point as it was excellent so Thank you sunscape for an amazing time

The staff at this resort are truly amazing. They were so kind and worked so hard to make sure that we had everything that we needed or wanted. From check-in to check-out, everyone we encountered was wonderful. Jose Franco, Alma, Jeffry, and Domingo were all such great people. The rooms are nice and we didn't have any issues with them. They aren't the newest or fanciest, but we didn't spend a lot of time in the room anyway. Building 15 can be a little loud due to the public road next to it and the traffic back and forth to Windows Buffet, but we got used to it. We had Sun Club membership and it was an amazing experience. Our butler even went to their town and searched all the shops to find my daughter a sticker souvenir. The Sun Club lounge was such a nice place to cool off and the bar there was never busy. We also enjoyed the Sun Club pool. It was rarely busy and was a nice place to relax. The Sun Club beach is beautiful and the palapas are such a great place to relax and nap. The beach is beautiful and the non-motorized water sports are a great way to enjoy the water. There are rocks on the bottom of the ocean, but that's not really a big deal. If you want a purely sandy experience, you can walk down the beach a little way and find it. Overall, we had a great, relaxing experience!

Not a big thing, nothing fancy but is ok for short relax vacation.

At the most amazing vacation and wonderful time enjoying every moment, our room was perfect. Had a wonderful service. The food was amazing. I would highly recommend. but have been calling the hotel for a reimbursement of $321 that was prepaid before my arrival and have not received that payment.😕
