Inn at Historic Concord

I read reviews prior to booking, and let me tell you here: HIGHLY OVERRATED! The lady at the front desk has a brash personality (night shift). She noted "make sure you close your door when you shower because it will set off the smoke alarm in the room". It's a run down hotel. You can hear everything through the floors and walls. It was fairly quiet until 3-4am and you can hear people leaving for work throughout the whole building. So your quality of sleep will suck here. Bed pillows are like couch pillows, hurt my ears. Yeah.. that's about it. Very disappointing experience, and HIGHLY overpriced. $190 for a Motel 8 basically.

I was there for three days and it was fantastic. Definitely I will recommend Best Western (Concord, MA) and I will be back soon.

Good-sized room with bureau, desk, comfortable bed, and plenty of electrical outlets. Basic free breakfast buffet. Key card didn't always work right, paint was peeling from bathroom ceiling, and guests are warned not to shower with the door open or they'll set off an alarm.

We stayed one night with a young kid. Easy check-in and parking. The room was large and clean (although it smelled a lot like bleach). The pool was clean and very enjoyable. The restaurant next door, Paparazzi, had great pizza and Italian food. The hotel is old and could use a renovation. Curtains in our room were ripped, and the carpet was worn out. Breakfast was simple, but acceptable. It would have been nice to have a few more sweet options, such as muffins or scones.

Hot Water was not available upon check-in. Was told it should be there by morning - it was not. Breakfast was on second floor and there was no elevator. I am on oxygen and stairs do me in. Was told we would receive a $50 credit for hot water problem. Not sure how or when that will be received.

Property was fine. There is nothing of note. The free breakfast is minimal.
