Altstadt Hotel Krone Luzern

The hotel is showing some wear and tear but the location is amazing. Easy to walk to from the train station and grocery store is steps away.

All about location here as that is perfect as a home base for exploring Lucerne. The room itself was a huge disappointment. Not clean and very old and worn. The shower has mold growing in it. The bed was worn down and not comfortable. There is a good amount of noise at night as the rooms are up against the square out front. Staff was fine but not particularly friendly. Wi-Fi coverage was weak with slow speeds. Decent value for the price but I would not recommend this as a place to stay in Luzern.

Room needed a little tlc. Shower curtain needed replaced, coffee pot didnt function, knob missing ona drawer. We had the only room on the 5th floor with direct access to the roof patio. Could have been an excellent patio with ambience but it really needed work. Plants, flowers or at least clean the gutters from plant growth and weeds.

Room was large and comfortable, location was walkable to shopping, dining and train station.

Location was superb. Staff were the best, very helpful when we had questions. We would highly recommend.

Great location! Our room was hot. Only welcoming staff was the young gentleman in the afternoon/evening. Morning front desk help was arrogant and rude and so was the lady in restaurant for breakfast so we ate elsewhere.

Great location! Walking distance to the train station and marina. Clean rooms. However... be aware, there is no AC!!! Also hard to find if you’re driving. The hotel is located in the walking area.

everything was excellent. Just air conditioning is lack, it was very hot.

This property is perfectly located in the heart of Lucerne & easily accessible via public transport. The issue we encountered was that it was extremely uncomfortable in the rooms due to no ventilation and no air conditioning which resulted in us struggling to get any sleep. I wouldn’t recommend staying here in summer.
