Beach Retreat & Lodge at Tahoe

It was amazing with an amazing view

Great location. Love the beach right there. We had a quiet corner room with partial lake view. We could park right near our room. The pool was situated in the middle of the complex behind the lobby. The lobby was welcoming and they offered us complimentary smores. The receptionist was also very nice and welcoming. Lots of guests checking in Froday night. 2 weddings planned for the weekend. The room is decorated very nice and bright. Good space for family of 4, 2 queen beds. It felt warm and welcoming. It os " remodeled" with sub par contractors. Dont expect 5 star quality. It felt semi clean. I noticed gritty sheets possibly from sand and pets. Hair strans on the sheets. Thinking back, I would have asked for the beds to be remade. It was noticeable that animals had stayed there, although you couldnt smell anything. The beds were otherwise very comfortable. I enjoyed the hotel and would try and stay again but would check the sheets first thing. The deck seemed nice to have although slanted and I felt uneasy on it.

This was a beautiful property. Very close to the water. The staff was nice in the room was amazing! I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend.

I booked this hotel for my parents as they haven’t had a vacation in over 10 years. They’re getting older but still work a lot and barely make ends meet. Unfortunately, my dad collapsed the first night they were there and ended up staying in the hospital and is still in the hospital. They didn’t even get to enjoy the beautiful views or the place.

Main Restaurant was closed during our stay, the rooms are very small. At least there were places to go close by.

This is a must stay. I have been going to this wonderful hotel for years and my family. Very clean rooms, excellent staff. Friendly and helpful. Beautiful views. Too bad they are shutting down October 29. Will be missed

Adequate room with comfy bed, fridge, decent size TV, coffee maker, ironing board, and iron. Two chairs and a small table in the room. Two tables on the deck. We had a room that faced the water. Which was lovely in September. Many of the rooms are facing the pool or the parking lot. Our room was fine in September because it was right next to the tiki bar that closed at sunset, which was around 7:30 PM. I can imagine that in the summer when sunset is later, the tiki bar would go much later into the night and may bother some people who are in this location. Pros - some people may actually love the tiki bar. There is a pool and small hot tub that conceit probably about six people. Every night they offer free s’mores kits around their fire pits. When I say Free though I also must mention that there’s a $35 resort fee so these aren’t exactly free. Cons - we were here for four days and three nights. Not once did the Wi-Fi work. When I called the front desk to ask about the Wi-Fi, they told me that “sometimes they have problems give it 10 minutes”. Again the Wi-Fi never worked so if you plan on needing Wi-Fi, this is not the hotel for you. I’m including a photo of the message we got, every time we try to get onto the Wi-Fi. Final note - this lodge is on the beach but beach chairs are only rentable for $20 each. If you live within driving distance, it would be best for you to bring your own chairs.

The front desk staff was so welcoming and greeted me with great smiles, really great customer service. The beach area is feet away which is so nice. Relatively close to the down town area. I felt safe throughout my stay.

The bed was somewhat uncomfortable. The worst part is how small the shower stall is, not plus size friendly.

Property is closing next month. Most everything is in disrepair. Staff is super nice though!
