The Mitre Inn

Really lovely historic inn in a perfect location. The room was cosy, clean and well equipped with modern facilities while keeping its character. The bed was very comfortable, the complimentary toiletries were a lovely touch, and I especially loved the view over the cobbled street. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and I felt at home throughout my stay. I would happily stay here again.

Nothing to dislike. Everything met or exceeded my expectations.

I really liked the Mitre it has a perfect location right by the train station It sell the York brewery's beer and they have an unusual food range I stayed in a room on the 1st floor it was perfect and the bathroom was perfect

The location but parking an issue

Emplacement et établissement avec du charme, terrasse agréable, les chambres sont spacieuses. À savoir pas de petit déjeuner et repas uniquement le week end.

Bruit des trains le matin mais uniquement si l’on dort la fenêtre ouverte.

I needed to request a safety bath mat which wasn’t available, I would suggest for health and safety supply some We purchased one locally for £7 Thank you

Bathroom tired in parts

You get a lot for your money at the Mitre. We had a nice spacious apartment.

The sofa is in need of a deep clean. There is some sort of cooling equipment outside, we were at the back of the building and it made a noise like a cross between a hum and a beat all night long. It made it hard to sleep.
