Hotel Scala Frankfurt City

Where can i start. Worst staff they have. We booked a double room and they gave us a triple room with one large bed and one smaller bed. On asking for room change they gave use free breakfast buffet with a RUDE attitude. So now i was stuck in a room with no space to even keep my luggages. Elevators suddenly stopped working and we had to take our luggage almost 3pcs of 35kg suitcase all by ourself from the 4th floor. No help or decency here. Intercom in the room was not working and no one to take care about that hence we missed our food delivery twice. All in all, WORST experience. Its a 1 star hostel and not a 3 star hotel. Please book other hotels around that area but not this. You will suffer a lot.

Good hotel. Very central and next to Zeil yet calm and relaxing. 5 min away from a metro stop. Friendly staff! I would consider it if in Frankfurt again!

The stay there was excellent. Staff very friendly at front desk. Very helpful and kind. The breakfast was nice and plentiful. Very nice location. Overall, good location and good place to stay. Would go back again in February next year.

Fair price, great staff, very helpful and welcoming. The bed was quite comfortable, the room was clean. The location is excellent for someone who's staying in Frankfurt and doesn't want to lose time commuting.

The receptionist called Susan, could not have looked after us better, she’s an absolute star!

Excellent hotel 3 min walk to Konstablerwache Metro (20min to FRA airport) & Zeil shopping and restaurant district. Older building (maybe 50 rooms) with a very modern renovation. Bed comfort etc above average comfort. Rooms smaller than average, but price smaller than average TOO! Excellent value.

Good value hotel with personal attention. Spacious room though facilities are older, well kept and very clean. Location is a big plus.

I stayed at the hotel for 6 nights. I booked single room and expected a single bed, however, I was delighted to see that my room had a twin bed and it was bigger than I expected. Thr room was on the first floor and recently renovated. The b d was very, very comfortable. Everything was clean and neat. The bathroom is small, but it was good for me. The shower is one of the best I have ever used. When I travel in winter I am always worried that the rooms might be cold. There was a heater in the room and in the bathroom. Thus, I had really hot room and I really enjoyed spending more time indoors than I thought I will. The staff are very friendly too. Else,the hotel is near shops, restaurants, station and just about anything you will need. It's off the main street, but also more quiet. Just opposite the hotel there was convenient shop, Aldi just around the corner if you need drinks, diner shop where you can get also pizza, and also Starbucks just 2min away. I am very happy with everything and if I go back to Frankfurt will definitely stay there again.
