Americas Best Value Inn Waukegan

The room was recently spackled and not even repainted. The smell overcame the room and we had to open the window the majority of the first day which didn't have a screen. The room had not been even remotely recently dusted. The bathroom was dirty. The free WiFi was not working. The breakfast was not Continental as listed and was very limited.

Carpet needs to be clean, beds are terrible. Obviously you get what you pay for. But beds feel like they're only springs. Staff was nice and courteous

Booked this hotel to go to my sisters navy graduation. They have a bus that runs from the hotel to the base which is awesome but if you drive it’s only a quick 10min drive. The price is awesome and their rooms were nice and clean. The customer service was also wonderful. Very friendly people!

The hotel room was poorly lit, even with all lights turned on. The walls were thin enough I could hear the occupants of the neighboring room while they held a normal conversation. The room's walls had water damage, as well as holes from previously mounted equipment (shelving or television, I suspect). Heat was provided by a wall-unit that had to be unplugged to shut off, and the plug was hot to the touch (indicating a wiring problem). The hotel staff was quite friendly; however, housekeeping does not clean your room until after you check out (if you're staying multiple days, housekeeping will not bring you fresh towels or make your bed).

The bed spread and towels were dirty. Rooms looked old.

Dirty room with shoe prints on the wall along with dust on all wall Art. Shower leaked when you used it and the Drywall was fall off the wall around shower.

First room we recieved, the door did not lock. When we asked to be moved front desk seemed disturbed that we asked. Second room we recieved had no towels and we had to once again bother the front desk for towels. Lastly the bathtub faucet didnt close all the way, so it was leaking all night long. At this point we didn't want to move since we already unloaded our stuff once again. Not our best stay overall.

Went to see granddaughter's graduation from boot camp. Staff was very friendly, helpful and informative. The room was very comfortable and clean. Love that it has a fridge and microwave. Reasonably priced.
