Americas Best Value Inn Waukegan

Not a great place. The refrigerator and light in the bathroom did not work. Dust very visible throughout the room. Continental breakfast was minimal. Hotel has too many ways to enter and exit. Multiple windows open. Didn't seem like a very secure place to stay with children.

The facilities just looked like they were worn out. Everywhere smelled like smoke.

I had 2 reservations for our grandson's graduation from Navy boot camp...place was only so-so.Curtains had broken tops,floors need a good cleaning,especially around baseboards,Cigarette burn holes in bedspreads...rooms smelled yucky...we left a day earlier than planned.Outside of motel also needs lots of TLC...fence is busted in many places...just looks shabby.Back of chair needs a vacuum taken to it...can see the dust .ANTS in the room .Microwave was missing from 128,130 had theirs...no place to hang clothing in 128.

When I first walked in the hotel it had a stale smelll, after checking in when I got in the room it smelled really moldy, the carpet at the base along all of the walls had not been vacuumed cleaned for a while. The dust was piled up on the floor it look like they only had been vacuum cleaning the middle areas of the floor. The room also had no closet so the ironing board was in the corner with the iron which was sitting next to it on the obviously dirty carpet. Under the TV where there used to be a mini fridge you could tell there was water damage at the base. Most of the towels had large stains on them. I could not check out because all hotels in Chicago were booked for the Navy graduation which was why I was there in the first place. I had to go to Walmart and buy two extra large blankets so I could cover the bed and one to cover myself with and towels.

Could have been better but so far so good

Stayed at this property about a year ago and was very happy with the experience. This time I was disappointed. Rug was in rough shape. Walls were patched, but not painted where there was previous damage. Had to wait for towels because they were still in the wash. Breakfast was mediocre. Nothing spectacular here.

Well, the staff was really great! But the only thing that made me upset is that the housekeeping didn’t clean my room with the 3 days I was there. They picked up dirty towels but we had to go ask them for clean towels. Then I asked for an extra pillow on Friday when I checked in and I didn’t get that pillow till my last night in town

No elevator, not enough face towels , no tub stopper, towels not pure white stains etc had to buy own

Saturday morning the gentleman that worked the front desk was to busy sleeping instead of setting up the breakfast station and when told him he was annoyed

Room was mediocre at best. Worst continental breakfast ever. Rice Krispies, Froot Loops, english muffins, toast, instant oatment, and waffles. Horrible. Bathroom door was coming off the hinges, had to lift the knob in order to close the door. Closet doors were broken and would not stay shut. Seems like no one was ever at the counter, had to ring the bell for service. Heavy scent of marijuana filled the halls at 11PM. Would probably not stay here again unless the price was under $39/nt.
