The Federal Hotel Downtown Carson City, an Ascend Collection Hotel

The lobby/casino has definitely been updated; however, the room we were in was not. The bathroom was very small and old. Stepping into the tub was kind of an adventure because it dipped down from the pressure. The water took forever to warm up and we felt guilty having to fun it for a long time and wasting it. The staff at the front desk was very friendly and made us feel comfortable though.

Centrally located to the events I attended.

Older property under renovation, however the shower had mold in the grout, took 10 minutes to get hot water and smelled musty.

Did not use, but we heard good things about the restaurant.

The TV did not work at all. Picture kept pixelating. The stations cut out entirely. The gentleman who came up to look at it said he couldn’t do anything about it/. Was due to the Direct TV connection.

It was a nice and comfortable stay the satellite tv needs improvement but it was clean and the bed is comfortable

Renovations make the Hotel a catch to stay at. I didn't read the whole hotel description and was pleasantly surprised that there was a restaurant AND casino built in.

The carpet had debris on it, maybe missed the vacuuming? Might think about getting air fresheners for the elevators. I'm a smoker, but pretty conscientious of maybe those non-smokers.

The bed was comfortable. Luckily, there was a balcony door that opened to the outside or I would not have been able to stay because the smell was so bad.

The smell of cigarette smoke from the casino mixed with the overpowering cleaning/cleaning product scent was nauseating. It gave me a headache and seemed super toxic. After returning, I had to wash everything before bringing it back into my house. . The carpet was faded and stained and looked to be over 20 years old. The tub was dangerously slippery with nothing to hang on to.
