The Federal Hotel Downtown Carson City, an Ascend Collection Hotel

Average resort type hotel. Gambling, mainly machines. Restaurant was closed for remodeling.

there was no breakfast, which was a little disappointing as I thought there was when I booked, but guess I was mistaken.

The overall cleanliness was underwhelming. The rugs in our room were filthy, the "freezer" section of our mini fridge was completely frosted over to the point we could not put anything into it. There were no extra pillows or blankets anywhere. The ice machine wasn't located on our floor but there was NO signage to indicate where it was, and once I called the desk to ask, it was very difficult to find. The room overall just didn't smell very fresh, I definitely would NOT come back here.

The room was dirty, carpet was bad and the shower had pubic hairs in it!! The TV didn’t work and overall it was not worth the rate we paid for one night.

The hotel was average and met our needs for a place to rest. Nothing fancy, but I might stay here again in a pinch.

We did not have hot water and could not shower.

The beds were comfortable, and there were no noise issues during our stay. I also appreciated the no-pet and no-smoking policy — definitely a plus. However, the bathroom and flooring could use an upgrade. The water pressure was very poor, the toilet didn’t drain properly, and the space was quite small and cramped. Additionally, the bathroom faucet was difficult to use — it required turning it back and forth several times just to get the cold water running.

Pretty good very comfortable but a little old the curtains could be better, but overall pretty decent. Unfortunately the restaurant was being remodeled. Couldn't stand the cigarette stench in the elevator.

It was a nice stay.

No hot water, door key card hard to work,. Told the front desk about the hot water issue. His comment, what floor were you on? Water has to travel a long way…….
