The Federal Hotel Downtown Carson City, an Ascend Collection Hotel

We had no choice, our friends booked this hotel and that's why we stayed there. The hotel is ok but we didn't have hot water in our bathroom. The next day they fix it but the hotel is very old. It was ok but I think it was a little over price.

It is an Old property and a little over price. The good thing is that it was clean.

Location is great. This was my 2nd stay. Room was old and bathroom was not as clean as it should have been. They closed the diner that was there and it is taking a long time for the restaurant to open.It was disappointing to not be able.to have breakfast before we left. I know they are remodeling the property and I will stay there again.

The WiFi never worked in my room and it took 20 minutes for the shower water to get hot, the two most important things next to cleanliness!!

The price was great

Front desk staff were outstanding. They are Going through renovations, so once they get a restaurant in it will make things easier .

Not a lot.

No restaurant as advertised. Renovations unfinished. Smoke smelled in casino that you had to pass through to access hotel room. Heat from window very hot, even with drapes closed.

The area noise

Area noise and requested king size bed but instead had two queen beds

Stayed just one night, didn't have hot water in our room, the restaurant wasn't open.
