We had the most perfect and unforgettable day celebrating our wedding reception at Fairlawns on 21 June 2025. The garden rooms, terrace and wedding garden created the most stunning backdrop for our celebrations. Josh was an absolute star - he is such a brilliant events specialist, so friendly and always there throughout the preparations keeping a close eye on every detail. On the day itself, Hayley and her amazing team looked after us so warmly and professionally. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The food was incredible and catered to all dietary requirements so well - it was plentiful, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious, with the evening pizzas, wedges and ice creams going down a treat with all our guests. The shared breakfast the next morning with our guests was the perfect finishing touch to such a magical celebration. Both we and our guests had the best time, and we couldn’t recommend Fairlawns more highly - it truly exceeded all of our expectations. Thank you to all of the team. We wish we could do it all over again!

I booked the spontaneous stay for myself & my daughter as a hen do treat. It was fabulous. Our room was wonderful, comfortable with every attention to detail catered for. Breakfast was very nice. The spa was wonderful & our 3 hours went very quickly. Massive thank you to every single member of staff who couldn’t do enough. Reception staff, breakfast staff & cleaning staff all pleasant & an absolute credit to the hotel. I must give a special mention to Holly who I spoke to when booking & also Louise in the spa. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend & will definitely return in future.

Such a perfect stay. The staff are wonderful and extremely attentive, the room was delightful and we got a free upgrade to a suite. The food was delicious (especially dinner in the restaurant) and the spa was just what we needed. Would definitely return

I've been coming to the Fairlawns for a year now and have purposefully waited to give a, what I would describe, holistic review. Over the past year I've been to the restaurant, spa, spent an evening and had my wedding at the Fairlawns and I can honestly say that every experience I've had has been nothing short of outstanding. When coming to visit the first time we felt right at home, the staff are friendly, professional and they are constantly looking for ways to make your experience better. From the chef who saved our wedding cake after it collapsed (thank you again!), to Hayley our wedding coordinator making sure we were both fed and watered throughout the day, Josh our wedding contact who helped us with planning, being only an email away to sourcing anything and everything we needed, to the bar staff who thanked US for being such wonderful guests! The restaurants food is exceptional, when choosing our wedding menu I was fighting my partner over the vegetables - coming from someone with the palate of a toddler, this is the highest praise! The spa is stunning and despite visiting when I was 5 months pregnant there was still plenty of facilities I could make use of and the massage I had melted away all my aches and pains. The rooms are a great use of space with additional facilities such as ironing boards (essential during the morning of our wedding!) and can clearly see that work is continually being carried out to continue their such high standards. Our wedding guests have all said that they didn't realise that the Fairlawns were here or how often they'd driven past and never been - they have all said that they'll now be coming back for a meal, spa day or nights stay! You need to tell people about the renovations when they book not twenty four hours before they arrive by email. This isn’t fair! We had travelled a long way to go to a funeral and had hope to catch up with an old friend for a drink but there was no bar and a very limited menu for dinner. The staff were very apologetic but that’s not their job is it! We were given a free breakfast which was good but the overall feeling on leaving the hotel and parting with our £200 was disappointment!

Fabulous stay from start to finish. From arriving at the hotel, checking in at reception, superb food & service in the restaurant on Saturday night & a delicious Full English breakfast on Sunday morning. We couldn't fault the hotel, room, food & staff - whole experience is amazing!

We stay at Fairlawns regularly. Rooms are clean, comfortable and very well maintained. The staff are terrific and dinner always delicious.

Lovely place, there was a wedding party going on the same night which worried me about the noise, but I didn’t hear a thing. I will definitely stay here again.

Without a doubt I would stay here again. There was some confusion around information given by two different members of staff in respect of the 'complimentary swim' which was disappointing but the restaurant was outstanding and more than made up for that. The food was seriously delicious, the staff in the bar and the waitress service were very helpful and friendly which made for a wonderful evening meal and breakfast experience. Sadly I did not have time to sample the delights of the 'spa', but maybe I shall fit that in on my next visit to the area.
