. The hotel looked lovely when walking in but the cottages were something else.

Blood on bed sheets, maybe poo or something very similar on duvet. Hair on shower wall. Rubbish under bed. Got pics to show. Pool had no life guard , not an issue but the people using it, no jumping...... Jumping! Etc.

The hotel was clean and the hotel staff were friendly

The spa were very disorganised. Spent £290 on multiple treatments and they were rearranged so our Sunday was spent waiting around. Our couples message was for a double treatment room I was not in it my partner was. They couldn't get our name right.

The reception and lounge area was very nice, quiet, comfortable, and pleasing to the eye. Our room had plenty of space.

Don't think we got the original room which we had booked, as the hotel had experienced a power cut on the day of our arrival and our room wasn't cleaned or ready. I had paid extra for a more luxurious room that should have had bathrobes and slippers, which we didn't get. Instead, we got a very dark, tatty room with chipped walls, paintwork, dirty ceiling, shower screen that hadn't been cleaned, and a view of the roof and air con system. The bed and pillows were like sleeping on rocks and not one drawer to put things in. Cannot complain about the staff when they were there but you always had to find someone. On our return from Son's wedding after midnight, our key card would not open the door and we had to find a member of staff to get a new one as apparently we had only been booked in for one night instead of two, even though we had paid for two. The steakhouse food was average, but we felt it was sub-standard for the price we paid and everything had to be paid for upfront and couldn't be added to your room tab. Room 102 was not what I had in mind for a luxurious room and this is not a hotel we would visit again.
