Brook Mollington Banastre Hotel & Spa

1 star We did not stay at this hotel, yet we were still charged. My wife asked reception for help three times and requested a room change, but no proper solution was offered when it actually mattered. Only after we had packed our bags, returned the keys, and decided to leave did the hotel finally offer another room. That was far too late. Because of this, we had to book and pay for another hotel on the same day, which caused extra expense, inconvenience, and unnecessary stress for our family. Even though we did not stay at the property, the hotel still refused to resolve the matter fairly. The management response later focused on explaining the building layout, which completely avoided the real issue. The issue was the poor service, the delayed response, and the unfair charge. Very badly handled. I would not recommend this property.

The property is in great location very peaceful & walking into town only took 25 mins which was lovely!

The grounds could do with some maintenance! No hot water in room so this led us not being able to shower the bed was very uncomfortable also mattress was torn up and stained there was no mattress topper pillows were very stained an yellow an duvet was stained all over the rooms have had no attention to them for a long time it looked like. paying £113 per night for what we got was very disappointing & over priced! Due to this we would not come back.

We were a travelling rugby team of 30 guests and from the moment we arrived at reception, the staff set the tone for what turned out to be a truly fantastic stay. Every single member of the squad was made to feel genuinely welcome — the team were polite, helpful, and couldn’t do enough for anyone. The little touches made all the difference. A complimentary round of beers at the bar for the whole team was a wonderful surprise and a real sign of great hospitality. When we returned late after a night out in Chester, there was no fuss whatsoever — staff were on hand and even offered water for everyone to take up to their rooms to help with hydration. That kind of thoughtfulness goes a long way. Breakfast the following morning was equally impressive and sent the lads off in great spirits before we boarded the bus home. To put it in the words of one of our players: “The hotel and staff were wicked.” We couldn’t agree more. Highly recommended — especially for large groups and sports teams!

A nice traditional hotel with option to swim

It was very close to the zoo which was helpful

One of the beds in our room as completely broken so we had to put the mattress on the floor. The curtains were covered in black mold. The floor was covered in the previous clients hair and the WiFi didn’t work in our room so the tv didn’t work.
