Brook Mollington Banastre Hotel & Spa

We stayed at Mollington Banastre Hotel for three nights with our family, including our 16 month old baby girl, and honestly had such a lovely time. The room was amazing, really clean and cosy, and the bed was so comfortable, which made a big difference after long days out. The staff were brilliant throughout, always friendly and happy to help, which made things so much easier with a little one. Afternoon tea was a real highlight, it looked beautiful and tasted just as good, definitely worth it! (see photo). The facilities were fantastic, we made good use of the swimming pool and gym, and the pool was especially great for us, really welcoming for all ages and perfect for a relaxed swim with our little one. We ended up eating at the restaurant quite a lot during our stay because the staff were so accommodating and the food was delicious and reasonably priced. We tried breakfast, lunch and dinner, and every meal was great. The chef’s curry (see photo) really stood out, and the lunch time deal was excellent value. I had the cajun chicken wrap and it was spot on! The location is ideal. We went to Chester Zoo, which was super close and made for a great day out with our baby. It is also near Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet and supermarkets, which made everything really convenient. Would definitely recommend, especially for families looking for an easy and comfortable stay :)

Very friendly staff, nothing too much trouble, clean room if a little basic

No yogurt available at breakfast,only fruit was grapefruit or prunes, great if your a full English breakfast person.

Only visited the spa and didn't stay in the hotel so this is a review of the spa only. I have given it 2 stars as the treatment (back, neck and shoulder massage) was good. This was where the good bit ended. Arrived and followed signs for spa and leisure facilities. There we found a broken door with a sign saying welcome please go to main reception so had to trek back round to front of hotel. There was nobody on reception and eventually found a member of staff who gave us the smallest towels ever and directed us to the changing rooms. The changing room floor had cracked tiles and was filthy. Over half the lockers were broken or damaged. On the poolside again the tiles were damaged and filthy. There was 2 loungers and 4 chairs all of which were already occupied so nowhere to put our stuff. Tiny sauna in each changing room that wasn't even hot, water in hot tub was cloudy and filthy, no shampoo or shower gel etc in the showers, paint peeling off the ceiling. Whole place needs shutting down, repairing, repainting and cleaning.

In the leisure centre, it would be nice to have separate cubicles, for changing. For breakfast, as well as butter, it would ne nice to have sunflower spread as an option. Hash browns and tomatoes, would also be nice to have for breakfast. The location of the hotel is good. All in all, I was very happy with my stay. I will more than likely stay there again. Paul

The breakfast was very good. However, hash browns and or tomatoes, would have been nice, as an option. An alternative to butter would have also been nice. Sunflower spread as an option is always nice.

No cubicles in the changing rooms, for the swimming pool. They would offer a degree of privacy.

The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Lack of dog bins, so some people didn't clear up after their pets. The swimming pool was tired,with some broken tiles on one set of steps. Didn't see any normal ciders in the bar.
