Derby Midland Hotel, BW Signature Collection

Lovely hotel with lots of character , food was excellent.

Love the Midland Hotel good value good food excellent staff and well located.

Stayed in room 220. Bathroom could have been cleaned a little better (soap scum on bath & extractor fan wasn't the cleanest) other than that the room was tidy & the maid was pleasant. Room was very hot though. Window open & fan on all night. Could do with AC?

Enjoyable stay and good breakfast

Very handy for our purpose, we was in derby for our son's graduation.

PRO: Location right next to midland station Property has character Most of the staff is nice and friendly CON No air-conditioning Reception staff is hit and miss. Generally did not provide welcoming attitude as what one would expect of a 4 star hotel Over all does not feel like a 4 star hotel.

This hotel has 2 sites one each side of the road-Hallmark Inn and Hallmark Hotel. We were assigned an incorrect room at the wrong site, which was resolved once I went back to reception to complain. At the correct site they had forgotten to put in the extra bed, but did sort it out for us as quickly as possible. If you stay at the Inn and book breakfast you will be required to eat across the road at the Hotel site. They charge £8 to park on site (parking is available at both sites), which is not disclosed on Hotels.com site and should be. Parking is close to the train station and accommodation is close to the shopping centre. I consider the Executive room a Superior, not Executive, though it was large, comfortable and clean. Breakfast was self service and very good. The hotel staff member seemed to be unaware of our booking which resulted in confusion and a poor check in experience, though an apology was offered.

Very nice stay over all, I would just say the rooms need a little updating but very happy with our stay :)

Lots of great character and history. Well maintained but rooms somewhat dark decor

Was good stay nd happy with room and food. Staff were extremely helpful when room key didn’t work for second time. Very unhappy at parking charge as not clearly mentioned when booked it so only found out about it when arrived at hotel. Is expensive charge for one night.
