Hyatt Zilara Riviera Maya Adults Only All-Inclusive

The resort was small and cute. Not many food options but they did have room service 24/7. We loved the scenery and the wild life. I do think they should stop letting UVC sell their memberships there. We were already members and liked the membership we had but Gabriel Arango & Chicita? I think that was her name (the sales reps) pushed and pushed with lies and fake trips promised. We are in to deep to just cancel but if you ever get approached just RUN. We were promised fly backs (never got those and its been over two years) a trip to Greece (UVC has no clue about this and stated nothing of the sort is going to be gifted to us) all free nights released (only 6 were released) no black out dates (have all the same black out dates I had in my lower level membership) and a couple more things that were not as big, but the matter of the fact is NONE of it happened. I have reached out to Gabriel with no luck. He was very manipulative.. I rarely get the wool pulled over my eyes but he did a GREAT job at hiding all the deceit he was selling.. Sad to see that's the only way he knows how to take care of his family is by taking from others. SAD SAD MAN!

We absolutely loved this resort especially the wildlife. The area is surrounded by trees and dense forests. This is a must for animal lovers. The staff were amazing and food really lovely. We will be back

Small resort with great staff and amenities. Room and common areas were always clean and well stocked. Staff works very hard to ensure you have a great visit!

This resort is fantastic and exceeded our expectations. The staff are excellent. Every single staff member we encountered—including Hector, Ruben, Antonio, and many others—was kind and outgoing. I wish I could remember all their names. They all deserve the world. Tip them and treat them well. The food was much better than we expected. Numerous reviews claim the food is average. These people either had a completely different experience from us, or came in expecting Michelin-quality meals. If you don’t have such inflated expectations, you will likely find the food to be excellent. Reviewers also cite a lack of restaurants. While true compared to other resorts, it made no difference, in practice. We tried and enjoyed all of them, and we were happy to go back to the same ones again and try new dishes. Drinks were great and are not watered down. We appreciated the adults-only and smaller size of the resort; it makes the whole experience more intimate and relaxing. This property is a bit of a gem in this region, especially compared to the resorts that neighbour it. The property is clean, modern, and very well-maintained. There are some signs of aging around the property, but that is very common and the overall condition remains modern. We found the resort/pool area felt much bigger than it appeared in the pictures. The beach is very nice. This resort does a fantastic job of clearing the sargassum (seaweed) from the beach, especially compared to neighbouring resorts. Gym is great—better than your typical hotel gym. Yes, it’s less of a “party” resort than other places, but we were satisfied with the entertainment. There’s often live music and “nightlife” until ~11pm. As a very young couple ourselves, we did find the resort was probably best suited for couples. Some reviewers claim it’s best for older guests, but we found that wasn’t the case. There were lots of young guests and we didn’t feel out of place. If you have a positive attitude and reasonable expectations, you will likely have an excellent stay. Again, the staff are extremely helpful and will help to correct any issue you may be having. Avoid the timeshare pitch that may come right after you’ve checked in. Politely decline, say you’re not interested, and try not to sit down with them. Say you’re hungry or something and walk off. They won’t bother you again. This resort offered excellent value for the price. We’d come back.

Highlights: Hotel is beautiful! Very clean, well kept. Pool was also very nice. Highly recommend renting a pool cabana. Very relaxing and food is delivered right to you. Staff were amazing and super friendly. Dislikes: Food was mediocre. Hard to get into restaurants without a long wait. Ended up going to the buffet due to wait. There is only 1 bartender at each bar. They are VERY overworked and can’t keep up. I wish they had more staff to help accommodate the amount of people at the hotel. There are no shows/theater. Wish there was more entertainment.

Great location. They kept the beach as clean as possible regarding the seagrass. Staff was very helpful. We enjoyed the food and drinks
