Hyatt Zilara Riviera Maya Adults Only All-Inclusive

We recently returned from a two week stay at Hyatt Zilara Cancun from 5th April to 18th April 2026, where we celebrated our anniversary for the first time together over Easter, and we honestly could not have chosen a better place. From the moment we arrived until the day we left, every part of the experience felt special, relaxing, and incredibly well organised. The hotel itself is beautifully designed with a great layout that makes everything feel easy to access without ever feeling crowded. Our room was spacious, very well equipped, and the balcony was a lovely place to sit and unwind in the mornings and evenings. We especially loved spending time on the beach, and the arts and crafts activities that took place most evenings added such a fun and personal touch to the stay. What truly made this holiday unforgettable though was the staff. Every single person we met was warm, friendly, and welcoming, but there are a few people who genuinely stood out and made our anniversary trip extra memorable. A huge thank you to the entertainment team led by Reyes and Edgar, who were absolutely fantastic throughout our stay. Geovanni, Hector, and Anel also brought so much energy, fun, and friendliness every day. They worked incredibly hard to keep guests entertained while still making everything feel relaxed and natural. Their enthusiasm really created such a positive atmosphere around the resort. We would also love to recognise Kitzia and Guadalupe, who looked after us so well during breakfasts and lunches. Their kindness and attention never went unnoticed. Nelson made our dinners feel special every evening with excellent service and a great personality, while hostess Cecilia always welcomed us with a smile and made us feel genuinely valued as guests. Another special mention goes to Luz in Coffee Republic, who quickly became one of our favourite people to see each day. Starting the morning with a coffee and a friendly chat from Luz was something we looked forward to every day. The facilities were also excellent. The gym had all the basics needed for anyone wanting a break from all the amazing food, and having access to the tennis court was a really nice bonus. Excursion pick up and drop off was also smooth and easy every time, which made exploring stress free and well organised. Most importantly, the entire resort created such a lovely atmosphere. Everyone worked so hard to make guests feel welcome and relaxed, and it truly made our anniversary celebration unforgettable. Thank you to the whole team at Hyatt Zilara for giving us such a wonderful experience. We made amazing memories and would absolutely recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing, friendly, and well run holiday. We already cannot wait to return.

The rooms were clean. The pool was clean. A couple of my friends cut their feet on the bottom of the pool playing volleyball. Juan Pablo is a mixologist to look for! The bartender that is better than all the rest! Club level desserts were darn good!

We had an amazing trip at the Hyatt Zilara Riviera Maya. The food was always delicious, the hotel was always perfectly clean and the staff was very respectful. We stayed at the hotel during the first week of May and it was not full, which was very nice. We never waited for drinks or tables at the restaurants. Only one restaurant requested a reservation and it was pretty easy to get a table 2 times during our week. The other restaurants were always giving us a table almost instantly. We had the chance to eat at a new restaurant that was by the beach and it was the best one. We also had a lot of fun with the entertainment staff (Reyes, Hector, Edgar, Abril, Geovani, and many more…), this week was just amazing! Thanks to all of them!

Overall amazing resort, cozy boutique vibes, great food, perfect for a 3 to 4 day getaway. Very chill resort, not a party resort at all and very quiet. Great rooms and service. The only thing lacking was no entertainment by pool during the day and very little at night

We love this resort - the staff, the service, the layout, the pool and beach. Our butlers - Raul, Fernanda D., and Fernanda M. were all excellent, providing service for our room, dinners, and the pool. Our mini-bar stocker Adrian always made sure our mini-bar and snacks were replenished daily. However, the food quality and selection continues to not be so great. There were no steak options other than the outrageous prices they want to add this on. One of the three restaurants was closed for remodeling, leaving only two for a la carte dining. Lunch was limited to the buffet, pizza (which had only opened that week) and a grill choice, none of which was the best. As much as we love the resort, the food will be a determining factor on whether we return.

My 20 year old daughter and I went and had the MOST amazing time. Friendly staff, amazing food, HUGE bed, lots of activities and a lovely relaxing atmosphere. Would def recommend and we will be back!!

WARNING: Long but hopefully helpful review: I will try to provide a review I have found helpful when I was researching a trip for us. PROS: Beautiful resort, inside and out Excellent Customer Service Rooms were lovely, no complaints. They were well cleaned and always had fresh towels and refreshments. Always done in a very timely manner so when we came up stairs around noonish/early afternoon, they had been well cleaned. We also had turn down service several nights. Great chocolates. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and one evening we received a lovely dessert and champagne. So greatly appreciated and not expected. Our dealing with the consierge (?) was fabulous. When our ride back to the airport was late, they were quick to help out and follow through until we were on our way back to the airport. Loved the pool. We loved the gradual entry into the pool and the ability to relax on the exterior ridge of the pool. We travelled in late April and the temperature of the pool POOL SERVICE: Great. Again, I'm not great with names, but all the gentleman servicing the Club area, were wonderful. They were quick to help you decide on a drink to meet your needs and would always remember what you had previously ordered or didn't like. Also .... lotsof bottled water available!! Although we didn't participate in the pool exercises, we watched it daily and were so, so impressed with the quality of the pool exercises and the instructors.. Again I'm not great with names, but the young gentleman with the hat and butterfly sunglasses, was incredible. A bundle of energy who brought out the best of the participants. Having the bike exercise in the pool as well as the balance boards was something that I have not seen before. Although we did not participate (we just wanted to relax ..... and this was accomplished easily). The number of people participating was large and very energetic. CLUB: We updated this upon our arrival as it was not available when we originally booked. Some pro's and con's to this. The pro was the availability of chairs around the pool. We also appreciated an update to our room so had an incredible view of the pool and the ocean. We very much appreciated this and enjoyed spending time there numerous times thoughout the day and evening. There was reserved seating at the beach as well however we tend to stay by the pool instead (if you can't tell by this review). TOWELS: The availability of towels around the pool couldn't be any better than what the Zilari provided. Towel's were on the chairs every morning. If your towel was drenched, you were able to get new towels at a couple of areas around the pool. Never did we have any problems getting refreshed ones. No towel games, cards, etc. Perfect!! The staff. We have never had the experience of customer service as we had here. Everybody went out of their way to help us with whatever issue we needed help with. All staff were respectful and kind and couldn't have been any better. They do have an app which I could only find once I was at the resort from the assistance of another guest. This was a great pro as it showed what restaurants were available as well as menus. It also identified the various activities (lots), times and places. Definitely a great resource. We are not smokers and it was so nice, not to smell cigerate smells throughout the resort. I believe there are some smoking areas but personally I didn't see them. CONS: The con's definitely do not outweigh the pro's but there were several CLUB: We kind of went back and forth on whether we would use this service again. I leaned more towards no while my husbands, differed. As a Club member, we had a access to a large area of seating around the pool with some very comfy seats/beds. We also had a separate bar area beside the buffet restaurant. This is where I was quite disappointed with. Three days, there was no bartender to be found pre-dinner. We tried and tried waiting, but ended up going to The Social. It is advertised that there is always find food to Club members, this food was generally inadequate in availability and taste. I don't think we found warm/hot food where it should have been. We definitely did not/could not use this as advertised. I'm sorry if I have missed other details, but this was our primary concerns. We have been to other rsorts where there was a considerable amount of differences in The Club, but in my opinion, this fell short of our expectations. Also, it was intersting that you could get some nuts with your drinks at this bar but not at the Club bar. POOL AMBIANCE: Based on previous reviews, we were expecting a quiet and relaxing pool environment. This was not the case during our 10 day stay. There were weddings, private tours/groups and at times, it took away from the environment we were looking for. This included music choices (hard rock at times ..... you could see the recreation staff in their glory with this). I tried not to be overwhelmed with this and my solution was to go to the quieter part of the pool (away from the bar area) and just soak up the sun. The problem with this, was there were no CLUB chairs so starting out in this smaller area mid afternoon meant that there were no seats available. Kind of a Con and Pro at the same time. Personally I would have preferred this side but the lack of availability of Club stopped us from doing this. We paid for the CLUB so we chose to use that area. This goes back to one of my cons for the CLUB level experience. RESTAURANTS: This is really difficult as everybody's choice in food is different. However, the lack of availiability for the buffet at lunch time was a huge factor and if anything, could prohibit us from returning. We did not experience any problem with getting into any of the restaurants when we wanted (around 7:00ish). We travelled in late April so it was not during the prime season. I think that's it. All in all, I think that we will come back as we had a wonderful vacation. The weather was beautiful, the resort is beautiful, the staff is amazing and we did not go hungry or thirsty. We prefer the pool to the beach. The overall experience was great and many thanks to everybody. NOTE TO MANAGEMENT: If the buffett is not to be opened during lunch, please find an alternative where a healthy meal is available. IE: a sald bar/fruit bar option similar to the other smaller options. Please keep customer service as a priority as this definitely added to our trip.
