Hyatt Zilara Riviera Maya Adults Only All-Inclusive

We loved our 10-day stay at the Zilara Riviera Maya. The staff are definitely the sparkle of this jewel, providing thoughtful and friendly service - always with warm smiles. We were checked in and out and well looked after by the kind and professional Cristel in the club lounge. Our club level junior ocean front swim out room was cleaned twice daily by sweet hardworking women, and the mini bar was kept well stocked. Esmeralda showed us to our room and thoroughly explained everything we needed to know. Diaz and Erasmo were our wonderful and attentive butlers, who looked after us very well. And last but not least a special mention to Martin, who attentively provided excellent poolside bar service. Was everything faultless? No, but close enough that it would seem petty to complain in the face of paradise. The beds were very comfortable, with plenty of towels. We had robes and slippers and a lovely coconut fiber beach bag. The weather was mostly sunny, with a couple of evening showers and one night there was a spectacular lightening show. Loved the wildlife - they were very respectful and we had no unfortunate close encounters lol

The resort is excellent, the staff are all wonderful. I would definitely recommend this resort to everyone, as it's that good.

This was one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed at I’m a lifetime Marriott member with status and just from a customer service standpoint this hotel is top notch we’ve already been talking about when we are coming back next year I’m wondering if we’re going to make it a full year before we go back It was truly one for the books

While the resort itself is beautiful and the staff was friendly, future guests should be aware that there are coatis and raccoons everywhere on the property—including hallways, balconies, and even dining areas. We were not informed of this at check-in, and it significantly impacted our stay. We upgraded to an oceanfront room but couldn’t enjoy the balcony because of the animals, and one even opened our sliding door. We also had a private beach dinner interrupted multiple times by raccoons approaching our table, which made us feel unsafe. If you’re comfortable being around wildlife at all times, this may not bother you—but if you’re expecting a relaxing, worry-free experience, this is something you should definitely consider before booking.

Being rushed to check out with a surprise charge for canceling our spa massages right at the end of the trip essentially ruined the whole experience as we left feeling stressed and taken advantage of. We gave advanced notice the day prior of our spa booking cancelation and were still charged >$200 for some unknown reason. Most of the staff were excellent. The rooms and restaurants were good to great. Almost everything was at or above expectations until the last moment which is truly quite sad. 3/10. I will be happy to update this review if Hyatt values customer experience and reaches out to my wife and I personally.
