Hyatt Zilara Riviera Maya Adults Only All-Inclusive

Over the past 12 years, we have stayed in many hotels in Cancun, Mexico. There are always good and bad hotel. But this hotel is the worst one. Restaurants ( Total 4 Restaurants) 1. Main Buffet. It is small buffet, not many food to choose. 2. Asian Food: Too salty, and the sushi is not fresh. 3. Italian Food: 4. Mexican Food: the food is good. The only place has Air Conditioning are Coffee Shop and your rooms, No AC at all. and the indoor temperature only keep 25C. The only pool are busy and crowed all the time, you will not find the chair at all. We ended up not use the swimming pool. Room: 1. The room is big, we stayed in the room most of time. 2. Cooling Issue: the indoor temperature only keep 25C.

There were a lot of positives about this resort and our stay. The resort itself and the rooms were beautiful and comfortable. The staff was all friendly and accommodating. We had a day at the Spa, that was easily the best part of the trip. It was so relaxing. Only bad thing was the food and drinks which is an important part of any resort but especially an all inclusive. The only good food we had were the cart tacos in the main dining room each morning. None of the restaurants were impressive which was disappointing. Especially at a place like this where it’s expected you’ll stay on property, if all the options are bad it puts a damper on everything. The only drinks I had were wine or champagne after the first few mixed drinks were watered down. Overall it was a good trip but I was excited for my first meal back of good food!

Had a wonderful time in this smaller, more intimate resort. All restaurants were good and had plenty of variety. Entertainment was ok, most started a bit late for this old man. We did enjoy the live music in the main lobby. Shout out to UVC rep Grace. Fernanda our concierge. Pool servers Carlos, Bianca and Julio. Lola Deck waiter Luis who knows every menu item by heart. And so many more happy people waiting to help with a smile.

Our trip to Hyatt Zilara was a wonderful experience overall. What made it especially memorable was the staff—their warmth, friendliness, and attentiveness truly stood out and made us feel welcomed throughout our stay. The food was another highlight. Every restaurant we tried offered amazing meals with great flavor and quality. While the menus were somewhat limited in variety, the overall dining experience was still excellent. One thing to note is that the resort has a very relaxed and quiet atmosphere. There is not a lot of entertainment happening during the day or evening. Although there is music by the pool, it tends to be very low-key and calm. Evenings are also fairly quiet, with limited entertainment outside of karaoke night at Legends Bar. Because of this, I would recommend this resort for travelers who are looking for a peaceful, low-key getaway where relaxation is the priority. It’s a great fit for those who enjoy early nights and a slower pace rather than a resort with a lot of nightlife or activities.

Loved this resort! Very clean, friendly staff. The pool side service was amazing. Many activities to do during the day. My group enjoyed tennis, the gym as well as beach and pool volleyball most days. We sang karaoke one night which was a blast. I have a gluten allergy and all of the restaurants were very accommodating. My favs were the quesabirria tacos from Lola and the hibachi was delicious! We booked reservation for the hibachi table and they used GF sauces. The only time I got sick was Monday night at the “international buffet” where nothing was marked GF. I thought I played it safe by getting chicken, rice and grilled veggies but was poorly mistaken (my own fault for not informing any staff and trying to be easy going with my group of 8). Recommend skipping the dinner buffet if you are sensitive. The outside buffets I asked the workers and they showed me which meats were GF, and I ate the tacos they made in front of you and was fine. For breakfast I usually ate Greek yogurt cup with fruits, toasted coconut and chia seeds and freshly made eggs. Can’t eat the chips but they made me crispy tortillas to eat with guac at Lola with lunch one day. Room service has options just write gluten allergy in the comments. Had many frozen mango margaritas without issue as well! They left us a bottle of champagne and a non-gf sweet treat for our birthday which was nice. We requested robes, slippers and an iron be brought to our room and that was no issue. I would definitely come back to this resort.

Extremely clean food was great

I appreciated that it's a smaller resort. It was easy to navigate. The staff went out of their way to make me feel special on my birthday. Each staff person I encountered was courteous and helpful. My room was cleaned each day by early afternoon. I appreciated the cleanliness of the resort in general and, specially, my room. The coffee/ice cream shop is a nice touch.The poolside service was great. Room service was a terrific option when I didn't want to go to a restaurant. I enjoyed the nightly live music in the Main Lobby. It was a wonderful way to end my nights. The beach was well maintained.

The bed mattress was too firm for me. My hips and shoulders were painful throughout the night and in the mornings. Turndown service was inconsistent. I think it was completed 2 of the 4 nights of my stay.

We had a nice relaxing time. Hotel has great food and staff for the most part is really helpful. Highly recommend Lola’s for breakfast. You’ll love sushi at Tempest and great Italian food at Capri!

We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation in Hayatt Zilara Riviera Maya. First of all, we would like to appreciate some wonderful employees that work there: Aldo - a super helpful person at "check in" and so pleasant to work with throughout our stay; Cecilia and Nelson - especially amiable and super attentive waiters at Lola Beach and El Comador buffet; Abril and Hector - energetic and fun activities organizers with whom we had many interesting conversations; Alejandra - very affable concierge in the main lobby; And last (but not least) - Mr. Diego who is in charge of Food and Beverages - friendly, accommodating, and very interesting to talk to. We loved this "adults only" resort - it's peaceful and wonderful for great relaxation. The buffet was not the very best out of all that we have tried in Cancun resorts, but it wasn't the worst either; we liked the breakfast buffet the best. All the restaurants were very good, especially Lola Beach and the Asian place. And the coffee bar (open from early morning till very late at night) was a pleasant place to hang out - offering a variety of well-prepared coffee and tea, as well as sandwiches, snacks, and ice-cream. The room was meticulously cleaned and restocked with towels twice a day; snacks and drinks were restocked regularly. The AC was the quietest we have ever encountered in hotels (yet quite efficient!). The rain shower in the bathroom was exhilarating and warmed up fast. Ours was the most inexpensive type of room but it was very spacious, perfectly furnished and well maintained; and so close to both the beach and the pool!... The beach towels were ALWAYS available at any time (unlike at some other resorts). The outdoor jacuzzi was an absolute treat. And the beach was excellent with beautiful white sand. By the time we left, there was more seaweed accumulating, but that's the season for it right now, but the shore was regularly cleaned. Enjoyed the hammocks and the swings on the beach! The mixology bar in the main lobby was quite an experience - they make really good and interesting drinks of all kinds and can improvise a lot, which we loved. Altogether it was a wonderful experience and we plan to come back.
