"Never come back"

1.0

Location is good

I never write reviews, but this hotel was a complete disappointment. Cheap bathroom fixtures, an uncomfortable mattress, and a non-functioning spa. There was a bad smell in the room, and you could hear everything — even the neighbor going to the bathroom. It was freezing at night because of issues with the AC. The girls at reception first asked for an extra payment for an upgrade, then said everything was fully booked. Totally unfriendly and unprofessional. An absolutely cheap project. I almost forgot — the food in the restaurant was awful, just pure fast food.

"Great Family Getaway!"

8.0

We stayed on a recent weekend in cabin number two. We tried originally to get a room in the hotel, but they told us we had to book the cabins apparently because we had more than two people. The cabins are well appointed with two bedrooms, one bathroom, a family room, kitchen, and small dining area. The incident we had was that we had stored a bunch of perishables in the refrigerator only to find out later that the refrigerator was not working – not cooling. Unfortunately, we lost a lot of food because of the non-working refrigerator. Upon calling Managment, they were understanding and gave us a food and beverage credit, as well as a credit for the amenity fee. We were able to use the food and beverage credit in the restaurant, and enjoyed dining there on the last night of our stay. What was a bit unusual about the restaurant is that outside on the patio they served the food with paper plates and plastic utensils. I feel like if they are trying to promote sustainability, they should use real plates and utensils. The amenities include a pool, hot tub, two saunas, fitness room, and bikes available for check out. We enjoyed all of the amenities, with the exception of the bikes. We got some maps from the local bike rental store, and apparently there are quite a few places to ride around the lake. All in all, a great family getaway! A few suggestions I have for the hotel- 1. Not to store things for the staff laundry area outside of the building, which was viewable from our kitchen area, and not in a good way. 2. The beds are somewhat unusual in that they seem like air mattresses. Perhaps the beds can be improved. 3. Some kettles would be nice in the kitchen area, as not everyone drinks, coffee. Make sure to check out Tropicale restaurant across the street. We had a great meal and a great experience there!

"Incredible and fabulous hotel! The best location and amenities in Big Bear"

9.0

There is so much to love about this property. All Rooms face the lake. The pool and jacuzzi are clean and kept nice. Open late. The location is across the street from the Main Street with easy access to stores and restaurants in addition to the park and lake activities. The amenities are fabulous, sauna inside and one outside facing the lake. Huge open air restaurant and lounge upstairs with lovely view. Food is nice could use some staple standard finger foods. And room and pool delivery. Pet friendly with plenty of areas for your dog to enjoy a nice walk. Room amenities are fabulous and some well. Very well thought out. Plenty of parking with easy access. This is the BEST boutique hotel in Big Bear!

They could use more food choices for kids and pocky eaters in addition pool side and room delivery. Tiny thing can can easily be fixed. Allow for later check out.

"What a Disappointment for No Improvement."

6.0

They are over priced for what they serve: BathRM door still keep sliding open as last visit in May. (Fridge does not control the temp. 2 lights did not work. No Ice machine in premises, TV did not work for entire stay, NO house-keeping (supposed to have each day), NO Coffee maker. At very limited restaurant menu with High-end price, we had an Old-fashion $17 which was ready-made in a bottle;too sweet with sad orange peel without a cherry. Trout Dip $15 was served on a small ugly paper plate with the Dip DUMPED on a sheet of paper. It was TASTY, but cheap 4 crackers, matchsticks cucumbers and dried out 1/2 radish was VERY sad presentation. The hotel's location is super great as the Restaurants, Ski, Shopping, Zoo, Slides and Golf activities were very close. Staff members were friendly but lack of knowledge with true issues. We will not return unless they lower the rate into $200's for premium. We must cancel our recommendation that was given to our friends on last visit.
