Three Waters Resort and Marina, Islamorada, a Tribute Portfolio Resort

We arrived expecting a marina view, but got a very large tin roof and the freeway. Rooms very small, dark and not like the photos! Stairs only, no lift. Reception staff dismissive and arrogant. We asked to move and surprising the only other rooms were more money. We decided to leave the resort and return to our previous hotel which was stunning! (Pier 66). We could not get a refund which I understand but when I checked my bank account they had taken over $400 (I presume for the resort fee). Shame on you Marriott, firstly for the catfish photos of the rooms and secondly for taken the resort fee when we did not stay!!!!! The staff at this hotel should visit the Pier 66 hotel in Fort Lauderdale for some customer service lessons!

With a few minor changes, this property could be so much better. The location was great, the property was beautifully maintained and lovely, there were sufficient food choices on property, the food was good, the staff was accommodating and pleasant, the use of bikes, kayaks, and paddle boards was great fun. The things that significantly detracted from our experience -- all of which could easily be remedied -- were: 1. There were not enough lounge chairs. We stayed over Easter week and the property was at capacity, but it never felt at capacity, until you tried to get a chair. The hotel did not enforce a "no reserving chairs" policy at all, and one entire stretch of beach had ZERO chairs on it. There were plenty of places to add chairs, and staff could easily have cleaned up towels that were sitting on chairs for hours on end. No one wants to stress on vacation about whether they are going to find a place to sit at the pool or beach. 2. Loud music was piped into the courtyards from early in the morning (8am) until night (well after 9). You could hear it in your room, and one night we actually asked them to turn it down. The music was fine; the volume was not. 3. We stayed in a suite and there were no towel bars in our bathroom. There were only two small robe hooks near the sink - in a separate room from the shower. There was no place to hang clothes or a towel when you took a shower, so you had no choice but to put your clothes and towel on the toilet, and then after your shower, no choice but to put your used towel on the floor to be laundered (despite signage encouraging the re-use of towels, which we would have done, had there been any place to dry them). Similarly, there was no place to hang wet bathing suits -- some of the other rooms had drying racks on their balconies, but ours did not. Please add some towel bars and more robe hooks!

My girlfriend and I recently stayed at Three Waters Resort and had an absolutely amazing experience from start to finish. The resort itself is beautiful, relaxing, and exactly what you hope for in an island getaway, but what truly made our trip special was the staff and level of hospitality. A huge thank you to Alexis Alba, the manager, who went above and beyond to make sure everything during our stay was perfect. Alexis was incredibly attentive, welcoming, and genuinely cared about making our experience memorable. You can tell he takes a lot of pride in the guest experience, and it absolutely shows. We also want to recognize Nevena, Maurice, Jennifer from reservations, Fabian, and Ercan for all of their kindness and outstanding service throughout the trip. Ercan provided amazing service during our time by the beach and poolside. Maurice was extremely friendly and helpful at the recreation tent, Fabian made the wine and cheese experience extra special, and Jennifer and the reservations team were incredibly accommodating and helpful from the beginning. Every interaction felt warm and personal. We also had dinner at the resort at the Kindler restaurant during our stay, and it was phenomenal. Some of the best steak and octopus we’ve ever had. Highly recommend visiting while staying at the resort. It’s rare to find a place where every staff member genuinely contributes to making your stay unforgettable, but Three Waters Resort absolutely delivered. Thank you again to Alexis Alba and the entire team for making this such a special trip. We cannot wait to come back.

Our stay in Key Largo across Three Waters Resort & Marina, La Siesta Resort & Villas, and Amara Cay Resort was truly unforgettable—each property had its own unique vibe, but what really made the experience exceptional was the people. At La Siesta, General Manager Sean sets the tone for an incredibly welcoming and well-run property. You can tell there’s strong leadership behind the scenes, and it shows in every detail. But a very special recognition has to go to Alexis Alba, the Complex Manager, who truly went above and beyond throughout our stay. Alexis was not only professional and attentive, but the kind of manager who genuinely cares about every guest experience. He made us feel valued from the moment we arrived, always checking in, making sure everything was perfect, and handling everything with such kindness and professionalism. It’s rare to come across someone so passionate, hands-on, and dedicated to creating memorable experiences for guests. His level of hospitality honestly stood out and made a huge impact on our trip. Over at Three Waters, the energy at the pools was everything you want on a Keys getaway—fun, relaxed, and beautifully maintained. Huge shoutout to Nevena and Channing, who made the poolside experience feel elevated and personal. They were attentive, friendly, and added such a great vibe to our days there. Also, Tanya from Watersports and the pool team was amazing—super helpful, kind, and made everything seamless while we enjoyed the water activities. At Amara Cay, the service continued to impress. Damian, our server, was outstanding—attentive, personable, and made every meal feel like a five-star experience. Molly was also wonderful and added to the warm, welcoming atmosphere of the property. And a special thank you to Albert, the shuttle driver, who made getting between the properties effortless and enjoyable. Always on time, friendly, and just another example of how great the team is across the entire collection. From start to finish, this trip felt like a true escape. Beautiful properties, amazing amenities, and most importantly, a team that genuinely cares about their guests. We will absolutely be back!

Very disappointing, was not really a Marriott standard hotel , servers were great but the accommodations were terrible if you’re with a family the rooms were scattered all over in different buildings and when you have kids, it makes it very difficult.Rooms are very small. You had to drive your car from one building to another to go eat and customer care was awful. If you had a problem at the front desk, nobody would call you back. It was absolutely terrible.

Didi, Mal, Amanda, and Tony at the Starbucks at the resort were awesome. They were so friendly with my kids. They’re working with a smile on their face and doing it while very busy. It made it very welcoming and one of the best Starbucks we’ve ever been to because of the people that work there..
