Insotel Punta Prima Resort & Spa

A lovely Spa / Resort with 2-storey villas rather than high-rise buildings creates a relaxed environment; our room was so comfortable . We visited in early Oct 25 and enjoyed 5 of 6 days in 25C sun and swimming in the warm Med Sea, 5 mins walk away which was fab. Great resort with several bars, restaurants and swimming pools on-site. All of the Teams were superb and looked-after us from arrival to departure six days later. I will not name individuals as I will inevitably miss many out but: Lovely welcome and description of the resort with details and maps on arrival at Reception. Delicious range of freshly-prepared dishes across all Restaurants, Bars and Grills with nice drinks. The ‘guest-facing’ Caterers were charming, warm and attentive without being intrusive; perfect. The Animations Team were engaging, smiling & provided great activities and evening shows. House-keeping / Maintenance Teams looked after us well too; kept everything in good order. Finally, a delicious Dinner at the Prestige Restaurant on our last evening; my birthday & much fun ! We enjoyed our stay in Oct 23 but they have kept-on improving ! We do not ordinarily return to the same resort but wanted high-quality, low-stress Med break. Cheers & Gracias 'Team Insotel' ! A & T

Our stay was great and we would recommend and return. The staff were wonderful and attentive. The two bedroom apartment was spacious and each room had enough space for a cot with the bonus of the living room and kitchen. The swimming pool selection was great giving variety to our days and provided everything needed for two active toddlers. The indoor pool was also a good bonus for the day that it thunderstormed. There was a variety of food and different options each night at the buffet with good options for the children. High chairs were also clean and readily available. My only suggestion for improvement with the buffet would be clearer labelling for vegetarian / vegan options. We were able to secure a booking easily at one of the other restaurants and that was nice to mix it up with high quality food. The setting is beautiful and there is lots of space on the resort to spread people out. It is on a hill but we had no problems pushing the pushchairs up the slope. There is also a nice path down to the beach. There are also washing machines and tumble driers which are handy with kids. Only other suggestion for improvement would be for the resort to have more clothes airers as we were constantly hanging wet swimming stuff all over the apartment and one only became available to us on the last day. It would be good if each room could be provided with one automatically.

Firstly it's fair to say that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Insotel Punta Prima and would recommend anyone wanting some chill out time or who enjoys walking to give this hotel a try. The Positives:- beautiful location - a very short walk to a small but pretty white sand beach. You can literally walk out of the hotel and follow a slightly rocky gravelled track for miles along the coast (in either direction). There are some beautiful small coves and small towns to visit on foot. The town of Punta Prima has a handful of restaurants which, if not all inclusive, are worth a visit. There are no English style pubs in Punta Prima that we found and no nightlife outside the hotel. The resort also has a very nice market 3 or 4 days a week (weather permitting) which is worth a look. Immaculately clean - the entire hotel is very clean and well looked after. The cleaning staff were excellent. Good Food - the food was good, with a reasonable selection for all meals. Having been to many all inclusive hotels before, it's clear that buffet food is never quite as good as made to order, but most dishes were enjoyable, and well cooked. Drinks - A good selection of drinks and no messing around with "branded" drinks. Everything we could see behind the bar was available to us (this has been a frustration at other hotels). At the pool bar they have free flow water, wines (avoid as these are nasty), lager (decent) and soft drinks (coke, coke zero, lemonade, fanta). Staff - the vast majority were very friendly and efficient, there were queues at the bars in the evening but they were pretty fast moving most of the time. Activities - There was a good selection of daytime activities and the animation team were enthusiastic without being pushy. Pool - spacious pools with cold (but not freezing) water, very clean and well maintained. Gym - A pretty well equipped gym for a hotel, clean and easy to use. Room - clean and spacious, with air conditioning and fans. A decent sized balcony and a very small kitchen area with a fridge. Entertainment - this was to a high standard, during our 7 night stay we saw two outside acts who were excellent and the animated team on the other 5 nights. The in-house shows were very good, if a little "similar", but clearly a talented group. The App - the Insotel app is excellent, allows you to make booking and keep up to date with activities and shows. The Negatives:- Air Con - I'm not quite sure if the hotel has a cut-off point for the time of year, but the air conditioning in the dining rooms and the auditorium was non-existent. A couple of the days were hot and the temperatures inside was stifling. Even some of the staff (presumably used to the heat) looked incredibly uncomfortable. The room - (possibly just our room), had a small cupboard that opened up with a kitchenette (sink and fridge) behind it. However the fridge wouldn't open unless the cupboard door was wide and there was a socket directly over the sink (surely dangerous) and the kettle lead wouldn't reach it anyway. If this was a self catering apartment we would have complained. Entertainment - as mentioned in the positives, the standard was high. However, we had 5 consecutive nights of the in-house team and the shows were a little similar and repetitive. It would be unfair to criticise the team as they really put on a show, it would just have been beneficial the break up the in-house shows with outside acts. Meal Times - for some reason this hotel has decided to have Maître d' seating and this is frankly a disaster. We've never been to a buffet style restaurant and not been able to just sit at one of the many free tables. They appear to like to manage the flow across the 3 restaurant rooms, but this just causes queues and frustration, when you can see empty tables but can't just sit at them. If you happen to miss the Maître D' and take your own seat, they act like you have committed a crime. There is no free-pour drinks, so the drinks are all brought to your table, which caused two arguments that we witnessed (tables served out of sequence). It's very odd and unnecessary, and it became a real irritation by the end of the week. Specialist Restaurants - you get to choose 2 meals from one of the 3 table service restaurants within your all inclusive stay. The standard of food at the these restaurants isn't an improvement on the buffet, we wish we hadn't bothered. We both had salmon in the poolside restaurant and they were undercooked, we then sent them back, and they came back again "undercooked". We ended up leaving this meal and went to the buffet instead. Very disappointed. Toilets - we felt that the hotel would benefit from at least another set of toilets in the busy areas near the dining room. In summary, a really nice hotel, and a good 4 star standard, but not quite a 5 star. A wonderful location, the walks along the coast are spectacular and a real treat if you are pretty active and enjoy getting around. There appeared to be lots to do for families including an on-site mini waterpark, and the kids entertainers were very visible and active. One or two areas for improvement, but on the whole a very enjoyable stay. As a side note, we were asked to complete an in-house questionnaire halfway through the break, and the next day we received a typed letter under the door addressing a couple of the concerns. We thought this was excellent, and showed that the hotel management were genuinely interested in the review.

Today is our final day at insotel punta prima and we have enjoyed it so much we are already looking at coming back next year! Despite storm Alice sending rain and thunder we have had an amazing time The hotel is spotless, yes there are ants and flies but this is to be expected. The staff are absolutely superb, the animation team are amazing, I would like to thank Simone, Tereze and Anna who spent the time to chat with us making us feel welcomed. All the servers in the restaurant and bars are friendly and go above and beyond to make your stay spectacular. The food is plentiful and tasty and the labelling system for allergy sufferers like myself is very clear. The hotel whilst on a large site is accessible with ramps and alternative paths to avoid stairs, having requested a central ground floor apartment due to my mobility issues, we were allocated 1002 which was excellently situated for the restaurant pool reception and theatre bar. And talking of the theatre bar, the best entertainment we have seen on holiday the shows were well choreographed and designed and the artistic and animation teams did an excellent job. All in All a five star wonderful stay!

This hotel is fantastic and we had a wonderful family holiday here last week. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and very well maintained with stunning views of the sea and lighthouse. We had a 2 bedroom apartment which was kept spotlessly clean. Towels and bedding were changed if you needed, just leave them in the bath. The food was excellent and very varied with different dishes to choose from each night. The staff in the buffet restaurant work so hard and were so friendly with our two children. It was our first time taking them abroad and they loved talking to the waiters each day. Thank you especially to Zine and Alex! We had a meal one evening in the Italian restaurant on site, amazing food. We loved the drinks stations everywhere and cocktails in the evening. Our children enjoyed all the swimming pools and in particular the splash area and water slides were a big hit! We enjoyed the entertainment in the evening also, what a talented team. We all miss it so much! Thank you all at Insotel, we will be back I’m sure!

Absolutely the best holiday we've been! Really did not need to leave resort so much to do throughout the day, activities, so many choices of pools for different age range too! Rooms beautiful all had fans and air-conditioning. Netflix wifi on the tvs. The resort was very clean and the dining rooms. The la carte restaurants beautiful food! Staff Absolutely are the heart and soul of this place. Always so friendly entertaining and engaging. Such a quiet laid back resort didn't need to worry about the children playing, everyone was friendly enough to share pool toys and floats. Really would recommend to families 5 star 🌟 from us and we said we would never visit the same place twice.. after being here I would pack my home to live there!! Amazing thankyou for our lovley stay

Insotel Punta Prima Prestige Suites are wonderful. Plenty of room with great size balcony with bistro table/chairs and comfortable sun loungers. Also two bathrooms, one with jacuzzi bath, large shower, bidet, loo and two sinks and the other a shower room with loo and sink. The little enclosed kitchen area was plenty big enough for our needs. (Not that we cooked anything)! The pool area was great, lovely and relaxing with plenty of sun loungers but we found the drinks at the pool bar to be too expensive. It was good to be able to use the facilities/activities at Insotel Resort & Spa e.g. aquarobics, 'yogalates', stretching, HIIT. We could also go to the evening entertainment there too, although we enjoyed the ABBA and Mowtown shows other nights were not our 'cup of tea.' The food in Nura restaurant was very good and the meat or fish freshly cooked in front of you by the two lovely chefs! There were also plenty of other dishes ready to choose from (although could have been hotter). The service team in the restaurant was lead by the very helpful Host, Francis. I was disappointed that the Sa Savina restaurant was not open and we were unable to have a change of restaurant on site during our two week stay. The reception staff were always pleasant and helpful. Feedback (which is requested) is taken notice of and acted upon, thank you Norah, it made a big difference!

Début octobre, eau de la piscine gelée, pas profitée. Les lits pour enfants moyennement confortables dans les chambres à 4. La musique des shows 20:00 et 21:00 beaucoup trop fort pour les enfants !! Pièges/Attrapes-guêpes vers les stands de boissons/bars, car elles attaquaient.
