"Extreme Tubing"

6.0

We have tubed multiple times at Treetops. This years experience was not as pleasant as past years. First way too many tubers - we stood in line for at least 10 minutes before going down - paid for an hour but tubed for less than 1/2 hour!! Also, I was having a bit more of a vertigo issue going up the moving uphill walk way (not that uncommon for a 73 year old) and my grandson held my hand on the way up - we did not impede anyone’s ride yet the “gentleman” running the ride admonished me! Definitely unprofessional and not needed.

"Family Ski Trip 2024"

10.0

Kristin Hughes (reservation specialist) was incredibly helpful. She was quick to return calls and explain everything professionally. She was very knowledgeable and helpful. The staff at the lodge was great. We also appreciated the outdoor staff on the ski lifts and tubing facility. All of this led to a great family vacation.

"Be Aware!"

4.0

The full beds had bed springs coming through. It was the most uncomfortable stay. AND when booking the website said the slopes were open all day - and that was not true. Friday night they were open until 8 pm - Saturday and Sunday they were only open until 4pm. AND the cross country skiing was not open. And the walk between the two hot tubs was scary deadly - the ground was totally frozen.

I did not know there was more than one lodging building which was confusing. We were put in an other building other than the main one. We found it confusing to find our building on the property. It’s a beautiful place and we looked forward to using the hot tub, restaurant and bar but had to drive to other buildings for them.

"As it is a three-star resort, no high expectations"

8.0

It is both a location and a beautiful spot. Not too costly, either. Everyone was really nice. Old bathrooms were the only thing we disliked, particularly a bathtub that appeared to be from ancient times. It was not something I wanted to walk barefoot in. Fortunately, whenever my daughter and I go somewhere, we always bring shower shoes. Also, To improve the room's appearance, the glass on the windows and balcony door should be replaced.

"Great time up north"

8.0

Wife and I went with friends and had a wonderful experience. Courses are great but the whole experience was made better by the excellent staff. The starters were awesome and special shout-out to Chris who was probably the most friendly and helpful starter I have ever met. Only complaint is the rocks in the sand traps. (Unfortunately, I was in them a lot). Rooms are very large but a little dated. Breakfast buffet was really good. Head into town for dinner.

"Ok but there are much better options."

4.0

We were there 9/14-9/17 for our annual Fall golf trip. Group of 12 guys. The Jones cottages are very nice. Food was good at Legends and at the sports bar in the same building. Our biggest disappointment was the golf courses. Tradition was very much dried out. Like brown. When we mentioned this to a starter in the AM on day 2 he acted like this must have been an accident. Pretty bad mistake if so. Premier and Signature which we played on Day 2 are basically the same course. We love elevated tee shots but the number of very elevated greens is too much. We are all exhausted from walking up and down so many hills near the greens. And the condition of the tee boxes is unacceptable. Many Blue/White tees with nearly no grass remaining. Literally hitting off dirt. Greens conditions were OK but with the severity of undulations the speed on average was too much. Nothing like hitting a 5-6 foot putt 15-20 feet by and/or off the green which was not an isolated thing. Threetops is a fun novelty but once you’ve played it a couple times we all agreed don’t really need to repeat the experience any more than that. With all of the great options in MI I think it will be quite a while before we return to Treetops.
