The Marx Hotel

It smelled damp and was quite dated. We were scheduled for two days and checked out after one.

check-in was easy woman at the front desk was very polite except the room was filthy. dirty sheets, mold in bathroom, rug from the 80s stains everywhere, and even after given “new sheets” those were stained and dirty too. breakfast limited options, but hotel food is gonna be hotel food.

Very disappointed in the property. Not healthy to stay in a place over ran with mold and mildew in bathroom, including all over the walls, tub and phone located in bathroom. Mold was coming out of shower head and jets in tub. They would not change rooms due to no more availability. Health department should check into this location

The staff was nice but the hotel was terrible. The pull out mattress was held by zip ties which fell through under me. Then when we let them know that the toilet was clogged they came back and handed us a dirty plunger in a plastic bag to unclog ourselves then told us to leave it outside the room

I know hotel is old but, it smells inside. I had to buy my own air fresheners. Towels were stained and my iron didn’t work. All that aside it was okay, I’ve been in worse

Family of 5. Were given a double bed room.

Pants left on back of bathroom door from previous guest. Never cleaned room on second day.

Excellent downtown location, walkable to restaurants, shops, and bars. Also easily walkable to college campuses. Price was high for the amenities, but it was all about the location.

There were holes in the ceiling and the wall paper was falling off the walls. The hallways smelled like urine This was a horrible experience
