"Get you "zen" on!"

8.0

Island Inn was a pleasant surprise. We visited multiple times while staying at The Sands. We were able to view the rooms and had breakfast and lunch here and just absolutely loved the "zen" of the boutique hotel. You will either love it or hate it. If you love to party, then look elsewhere, this is a place to sit and have a drink and meet guests from around the world. At only 24 rooms you will find your peace and quiet here. Angela at the front desk was a STAR!! What a friendly face to return "home" to after a day of exploring the island. Definitely want to return and spend a week here. & Don't forget to go across the beach to Pebbles beach and watch the horses bathe at 6:00 a.m. - magical!

"Lovely hotel needs a bit of loving"

8.0

This is a lovely hotel the atmosphere being a small hotel of 24 rooms is great this would be our 3rd time here. The staff are brilliant and good fun the hotel itself is more for adults than families it is clean and tidy the rooms are good but need to be finished off to a better standard just little things. The gym needs a complete overhaul with new machines as the ones there are old and not working the floor needs to be renewed . The sands a sister hotel has a gym of a good standard. Location to the beach is great just 200 yards out the front door were the race horses bathe in the mornings the food is of a great standard . We will be returning for a 4th time.

"Another amazing trip to the island Inn"

10.0

Just returned from our 3rd stay at the Island Inn, it’s such a special place for us. The whole team are absolutely amazing and make the hotel such a special fun place to stay from Sharon, Carole and Doris on reception to Elsie, Marlene, Sharon in restaurant who are always so happy and go above and beyond to help you. Tre, Crystal and Terry who make the best cocktails and are always so happy and singing while they work. The whole team are a credit to the hotel. We got engaged while we were there and they made us feel so special and made our special memory even more special. Can’t wait to go back and get married. We went to both sister hotels and used there facilities for the day, which always make for a nice change of scenery. We did the usual beach days on Carlisle bay at harbour lights, which is such good value for money, beach chairs and umbrella for $20 and you can have lunch to and use of their facilities. Looking forward to seeing you all again in 2027, big love to them all!!

"5 Stars All The Way!"

10.0

Wow! As a family with two young children we had an absolutely amazing time. From start to finish we were treated with warmth, kindness and care. Staff, from reception, bar, restaurant to maintenance/cleaners were friendly and gave impeccable service. The room was spacious with all you could want inside. Definitely worth a visit and I would definitely recommend, without a doubt. Very special thank you to Tia, Wayne, Terry, Sharon, Ellsie and Miss Brown. You all make Island Inn a very special place. Special memories made. 5 stars all the way!

"So glad we stayed here…"

10.0

We initially considered this hotel based partly on location and partly due to the fact that the all-inclusive price was similar to, or lower than room only at several other larger hotels. We are so glad that we went ahead and booked here, this place is amazing! From our initial welcome and rum punch, while our room was being readied, to our departure, I cannot say a bad word about it. The staff are all incredibly welcoming and friendly. They seemed a little too laid back at first, but that was just me adjusting to the pace of life on the island. The food is very good, mostly a la carte with a couple of buffet days thrown in. The starters were fantastic, just enough to whet your appetite for the main course. Wine choices are also good, as are the cocktails in the bar. The location is very convenient for the beautiful beaches and Bridgetown itself is well within walking distance. We chose to hire a car but the public transport options are good from here. Parking is available too. When we return, we will definitely stay here again. The only downside, if there can be one, is the bathrooms are a little dated. But saying that, they were perfectly fine for us, so no complaints!

"Delighted to have found this little gem!"

10.0

Absolutely fabulous hotel, don't hesitate to book. Lovely boutique feel. Photos don't do it justice, the communal areas and restaurant are really very lovely, we were surprised! Rooms are lovely and have a private terrace. Food is delicious, particularly the starters..3 courses a la carte most nights and also lunch if you want it. Drinks really good. Service very good. Beach very close, you can hire beds for 30bbd per day or just go and lay in the beach bar for free and buy drinks! Parking in the alley by the side of the hotel and is free. Pool small but very nice. Rooms cleaned every day. Lovely live music some nights. Friendly staff and other guests (mostly older British and Canadian - may not suit younger ones) Bathrooms would benefit from an upgrade but perfectly adequate for a 3 star. All good, 5 stars in my view.

"Enjoyable holiday"

8.0

Just arrived home after 2 weeks at Island Inn Hotel. On arrival we were greeted by the lovely Sharon on reception. Our room wasn't ready until 3.00pm which is normal check in time so we enjoyed a cold drink whilst we waited. We had a superior court yard room which was fine. A little tired in places but this did not affect our holiday. It was slightly disappointing that our bed linen was only changed once during the 14 days and that the bathroom was not always cleaned. The food in the restaurant was lovely. Breakfast was a buffet and lunch and dinner was a mixture of buffet and ala carte. Elsie, Doris and Sharon were amazing and were always welcoming during meal times. There were a couple of staff in the restaurant (Tia and Manni) that were particularly unwelcoming during mealtimes. Appreciate not everyone is happy in their jobs. The Pool was small as expected but suitable for cooling off ( we only spent two mornings at the pool. Terry, Tre and Christal looked after us at the bar when we needed a cool drink. Pebbles beach was a two minute walk and was beautiful. We spent most of our days here. Two sun loungers and an umbrella was $30 bajan. The young guy with red and white stripped umbrellas did a deal for Island Inn Guests. The monkeys were regular visitors to the hotel and were great to watch. They were cheeky and pinched a couple of bananas from guests. The hotel is boutique and with only 26 rooms very intimate. It has a typical Caribbean feel. Overall, we had a lovely holiday and the hotel was excellent for a 3* hotel.

"Lovely small and friendly place to relax in Barbados"

10.0

We both had a lovely relaxing time at this small and friendly hotel within walking distance of Bridgetown. It is ideally located for the capital, excellent beaches and local transport. Although it is classed as a three star hotel, once passed reception, the friendly, efficient and hardworking restaurant staff, bar staff, cleaning staff and ground maintenance staff make it a five star experience. The food is lovely, alternating between buffet and very efficient and attentive table service with good quality wines and other drinks on offer. The bar staff are excellent, you never need to wait to be served and are willing to give advice on local drinks. The Managers Rum tasting and cocktail party is a lovely friendly event and there is entertainment on most evenings. For holiday readers there is a very large second hand book 'library' should you run out of your own reading material. The rooms (bungalows) all have sitting out areas and are very clean thanks to the hard work of the cleaning staff; with towels sensible changed on request. The gardens are colourful and well maintained by the ground staff; being frequented on occasions by other 'cheeky' primates in addition to humans; so hide your bananas. Not being exactly on the beach helps to maintain the peaceful relaxing atmosphere about the place but the nearest sandy beach is three minute walk with other sandy beaches within easy walking distance.
