Crown Hotel Stamford

My husband and I stopped here for a night on our journey south, and were greeted by a very welcoming girl on reception who offered to help with our cases. The room was spacious and had top quality beds and bedding. There were two comfortable armchairs, plenty of lighting and a lovely bathroom; only thing missing was a towel rail for hand towels. The breakfast the following day was excellent in every way, and we shall certainly stay here again we are in the area.

The food was amazing and the service was outstanding. Thank you for a wonderful memorable meal with my best friend. We had a wonderful time together and it’ll be one of the many memories we will look back on with smiles on our faces

Absolutely lovely hotel. The staff were all so accommodating. Beautiful rooms and comfortable beds. My only suggestion would be for the hotel to look into portable air conditioners for the rooms. The first half of my stay had abnormally hot weather and a portable air conditioner for the room would have made sleeping a bit more comfortable at night. Other than that, a lovely stay, stunning patio and excellent food

Excellent location, right in the centre and the hub of things. Pleasant staff however the location is busy at night and with a pub outsude seating area in the alley which our bedroom overlooked, it was very noisy. I would choose a different room next time.

Old friends of 50 years meet up. Booked in as guests. Admittedltly we had a few beers but twice this year spent c, £500 in the hotel and next door. Staff are fine, we didn't misbehave but some child refused to serve us. We'd been next door to Pattens, another Thurby pub. i have no problem with Mick Thurlby, decent guy, Sorry mate we won't be giving you c. £1000 ever again and will tell Stamford folk why If you don't care, up to you but you're not as busy as before.

From first point of arrival our stay was relaxed. Receptionist was so helpful in helping to find space to park our cars in the car park which was busy. Gorgeous relaxing beer gardens. Well kept and beautifully styled with flowers and plants overlooking the church and historic buildings yet so near to shops. Beautiful place. Outdoor bar was a great bonus too. Our room was a twin and quite spacious. Felt liked a valued customer overall and will stay again in the future.

Very nice stay. Met family as a half way point between our homes. Excellent staff and cleanliness. Only one point as not being so young is steps without handrails and perhaps something to hold onto in the shower. Overall though a good stay.

Every service, staff including workerman were extremely friendly and very helpful. We ate breakfast for two days ,evening meal.Food delicious ,well presented and tasty. Large portions to satisfy you. Situated in the centre within walking distance everywhere. Beautiful relaximg place. Lots of restaurants etc enjoyed the cinema. Comfortable, clean room to stay.
