Crown Hotel Stamford

Amazing hotel , very convenient for exploring the town! Staff were very friendly and helpful! Evening meal and breakfast were very good !

The room was very well furnished, the bed very comfortable and little extras like bottled water and fresh milk were appreciated. We ate lunch, dinner and breakfast at the hotel and all were delicious and service excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful, recommending places to visit.

Could have done with being informed prior that the car park was being used by a Wedding Reception, so I had to pay for my own overnight parking away from the hotel. One of the bottles of water had already been opened (safety seal broken).

Great atmosphere, excellent staff, ideal location for walking around town.

Charming and cozy.

Stayed for the third time since 2022 whilst visiting family. Each time we have had a room in a different part of the hotel. This time we had two rooms across the passage from reception in a building to the side. Rooms had great character and were spotlessly clean. We had a nice large walk in shower and my mother’s room downstairs had a shower and possibly the largest hotel bath I have seen. Again, couldn’t fault either room. Then to cap it all off, the bathroom had a built in electric toothbrush charger! Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. We had the Sunday lunch (in the evening) which was excellent with the portions more than adequate. Staff were friendly and attentive without being intrusive and made us feel welcome. Highly recommended. Just don’t park under the tree…..(but they do warn you)

It was all wonderful right from the check-in, the staff are all very friendly, welcoming and helpful. We stayed in a well lit and very tastefully decorated and sizeable room, with comfortable beds, two small armchairs and a coffee table. The bathroom was well appointed with a bath and a large shower head. There were some nice extra touches as well, a small bottle of milk on arrival and later in the stay, plus bottled water, plenty of teabags etc. The food at breakfast was very nice too. The situation is marvellous, a short walk to the High Street and the Wetherspoons and other pubs/restaurants. Stamford is a lovely town with a great atmosphere and a park very near the centre. Burghley House is a short drive or a walk of just a few miles if you are a lot younger than us! We didn't get to Rutland Water, but we will go next time - because we definitely want to go back. All in all a brilliant break, hopefully to be repeated a few times at least.

We had such a wonderful night’s stay here. We arrived terribly jet lagged, but were treated so kindly by the staff at reception and the restaurant. After a delicious dinner and great night’s rest in the family apartment we awoke refreshed and were met with a delicious and hearty breakfast along with great advice from the owner, Mr. Michael, on places to visit along the way as we walked the two miles to Burghley House along the river, seeing the gorgeous cathedrals and other sites that make the historic city of Stamford so charming. I only wish we’d had additional time to stay. We will return!

Attractive space inside and out. Room small but bathroom nicely modernized. Wish there was more parking.

We have now stayed at this hotel three times in the last 14 months and never been disappointed. We must commend the owners for their attention to detail as the facilities are first class along with the members of staff …all attentive and friendly. It is a real pleasure to be able to experience and sit in the courtyard when the weather permits…. And the food it offers us of a very high standard as this weekend we experienced the cooked breakfast and Sunday lunch. Congratulations to everyone involved from the moment we arrived to when we left
