Level Chicago – Old Town

Great property. Outstanding all the way around.

We were supposed to be in a 2 bedroom room but while we were waiting for our room we were told our room was closed for maintenance so we were switched to 2 separate rooms. This was fine but the keys did not work at first and our room would not lock even when we used the deadbolt. So we called the property people and they said someone would come up right away. We waited an hour and had to call again as no one came and we couldn’t leave our room unlocked. When the maintenance guy finally came it was like he was looking for a tip from us. He said I am doing this out of courtesy but I have to get to my 2nd job. We were taken aback by this. No one seemed concerned that we could not lock our door. In addition fan in the bathroom didn’t work. TV in bedroom did not work. Given what we paid I would have expected top of the line service.

A lot of good food options walkable distance.

Loved the location and the facilities. We loved staying here, the pool and basket ball court and the BBQ areas were really great and often totally empty. The staff were really helpful and the apartment was clean comfortable. I would 100% recommend and would return here.

Only a few things that could help others staying. The sofa bedding was not available when we arrived even though we had put it on the booking notes and when we asked for it we were provided with 1 pillow but we have 2 kids. We didn’t know whether the room would be cleaned during our stay, we asked for new towels on day 4 and then we got a knock on the door day 6 to ask if we wanted the room cleaning which we did and great to have the bedding changed but had to rush around to go out to the pool. We also had to ask about where to take the bins as they needed to be emptied. Providing info on arrival would have made it more straightforward. The washing machine needs servicing as it left black marks on our clothing.

Location and amenities are fantastic for family

Finding a park is hard and the process of getting a room is very tedious but still very beautiful I’ve been twice

I liked the hotel room's kitchen and it is very nice, however VERY small. The pool/amenities are also very nice. One major challenge was there was a last minute change to the location of our reservation from old town to fulton market. They did communicate the change and provided a discount, however, this occurred the day before our trip. The check-in process was also very disorganized and confusing. Information easily accessible in the reservation was not used, requiring extra check-in time. They told us a crib was available, and later found only a pack and play. I requested bedding for the pull out 4 times before someone brought them. Overall, management needs to improve their operations.

Nice rooms and amenities, we would stay here again. This was a nice place! We love the location and the fact it was dog friendly. Lots to do for eats/drinks in walking distance and they have a lovely dog area adjacent to the pool on the 8th floor. Nice not to have to go down to the street for potty breaks. Taking off a star for the simple fact that they only have feather pillows (so I had to buy my own hypoallergenic one) and their parking lot was full so we had to park a few blocks away.

Location amazing, view outstanding, staff friendly and amenities were terrific.
