Club Maeva Miramar Tampico

PROS: We only stayed for the night and booked this stay VERY last minute, but the location in Playa Miramar can't be beat. Check-in was a breeze, the check in area is beautiful and updated, and the check-in staff was very friendly, even though we only speak Spanglish. Yes, you get actual metal keys, handed the TV remote, and towel cards at check-in, but I knew this from reading the reviews so we were prepared. We were directed to park our personal car at an open parking spot by the attendant who was also very friendly. We had a room on the 2nd floor (3rd floor really, since the check-in floor was considered floor 0). The beds and pillows were very comfortable, and the room was clean. The shower was clean and had hot water. We thought breakfast was delicious and varied. We paid about $30 US for breakfast since we didn't purchase the all-inclusive package. We thought this was an OK price since it was all you can eat and the service was friendly and exceptional. We wish we could have stayed longer and enjoyed the beach but it was a rainy day when we woke up in the morning. CONS: Rooms really need a modern technological update. We have to move the beds to the opposite side of the room in order to plug our CPAP machines in because the wall where the beds were situated didn't have outlets. Luckily the beds were movable. This is really our only complaint.

Location, I called the hotel to see if they would accept a little chihuahua, they said yes for a small fee , they did not say how much then after arrival they changed the accommodation to a old , smelly and not in shape villa they calll it, dirty water and charged over 60% additional for changing the room. Unacceptable

A/c wasn’t working properly lack of maintenance would be my guess, but the one thing door could be open without the key so security of my belongings was on play while I was out and about.

The way I was treated by the front desk staff. Looked down on me like I had no money to pay. I've stayed in more expensive hotels than here. My brown a$$ got money to pay for your fake smiles. They had me waiting for an hour to get my room key. They had the audacity to tell me the price for everything I asked, looking at me like I couldn't afford it. Just bring me what I want and charge me. I do NOT recommend this hotel and will NEVER be staying here again!

Poor maintenance of main hotel areas and rooms. Secure boxes not working. Buffett dinner just passable

The beach. Very clean beach.

The beach is far from the hotel, they have palapas by the beach but the chairs were very uncomfortable. One of the days we stayed there the showers by the beach weren’t working. And there is no ramp access to the beach.
