How quiet the area was.

After waiting 45 minutes in lobby, our room wasn’t available. We had to go to another hotel for the night, and go back the next morning to get our room

This is the worst Marriott property that I have ever stayed in. Upon arrival at the hotel, there were a group of people partying and blasting music in the parking lot late Saturday evening. The front desk clerk was extremely irritated about the incident and was very unpleasant upon check in. Our room looked like it had not been cleaned whatsoever, and it smelled like cigarette smoke. We were unable to utilize the queen soda bed as you couldn’t even pull out the mattress with it being so close to the queen bed. The sofa bed was also stained with something that looked like blood in multiple spots. Not to mention, there was absolutely NO hot water for us or it seems like other guests as well. The quality of our stay was what you would expect from a low quality motel, and I can guarantee we WILL NOT be back.

I have stayed at this property multiple times but this was my last. The room was not cleaned. Floor had not been vacuumed. The shower was dirty. My wife's socks got stained walking on the carpet. There was no hot water. When a customer in front of me at checkout complained the front desk said sorry we are working on that. My daughter had reserved a room with a sofa bed but the room was so small the bed could not be used. It also had stains on the sheets. Obviously housekeeping not doing their job, When we arrived at 11pm some group was having party in parking lot. All that to be upcharged for a game week end.

It was very noisy. The traffic from the highway kept me up, the people in the next story woke me up and the guy with the boom box outside at the grill was disturbingly loud. The breakfasts were very good and the server was very pleasant.The back corner where all of the smokers hung out could be better lite. I was concerned parking there.

Overall, it's a fine place to stay. Convenient location close to freeway and restaurants. But not a lot of effort to make it nice. For example, Townplace is a WORK extended stay kind of place. Lots of crafts and laborors staying there. Breakfast didn't start until 6:30, which is really really late for those guys. At 6:30, there is a huge rush into a crowded small space for breakfast, and then all those guys are off to work. It seems clear to me that Breakfast needs to start at 6:00 at the latest!! Nice rooms, lots of space. Relatively new and decently cared for. Welcome was fine, no mention of rewards status, but not as friendly as almost everyplace I was at in Tennessee ... including other hotels in Nashville and restuarants in Ceder Bluff area. Just not a lot of effort.

Room was as advertised and had all of the amenities needed. Everything was clean and comfortable. Will stay here again.

I thought breakfast was excellent from the quality of the quiche to the old style bagels
