The Sandman Santa Rosa Sonoma, an Ascend Collection Hotel

Staff was friendly, pet welcome sign in the office was very cute.

There were visible spiderwebs in our room, the AC unit had a buildup of grime in the slats, the power situation was with a power strip, also very dirty looking. The phone had build up on it. The hutch that held the fridge had exposed raw wood. The door frame had damage the was clear our door had been kicked in before, it did not make us feel safe. The bathroom had grime on the walls, shower has clearly missed spots that had not been properly cleaned. We also paid for a 2 queen bed room, but the beds felt like full size.

Always clean. No issues and we visit here frequently.

I asked for a packed breakfast to take to the airport for an early flight, but was given a "no".

Bed was comfortable and the place looked clean (other than the smell).

My room smelled bad. The odor would not go away after leaving the window open to air out. Like a smoking room? Big barking dog next door. More of a motel than hotel.

They took a &150 extra on top of room cost. Then still have not gotten refunded. Guest need to know that they will hold $150 on top of room charge. Not ok the norm is $50. Where is my deposit???
