Abbiamo preso la suite, che era molto grande.

In generale la struttura è un po' vecchiotta, ha bisogno di manutenzione. Bella ma lasciata andare. I materassi sui lettini rotti, quando ha piovuto non li hanno tolti e si sono bagnati pesantemente. Le piscine in genere sempre sporche. Poltroncine e sdraio in giro un po' conciate. Ripeto da curare un po' di più. Il ristorante, Amandina, non eccezionale.

Median Palms is one of those rare places that instantly slows your heartbeat the moment you arrive. Tucked into tranquil, beautifully curated surroundings, it feels like a private sanctuary where every detail has been designed to soothe, delight, and surprise. We stayed in the penthouse, and honestly, it was out of this world. The private plunge pool, the secluded sunbathing areas, the sweeping views, every inch felt like luxury woven with calm. Waking up there each morning felt like stepping into a dream you don’t want to end. The choice of pools across the property is fantastic, each offering its own mood and backdrop. And then there’s the beach bar, an absolute treat. Whether you’re grabbing a cold drink in the afternoon breeze or settling in for something delicious at sunset, it’s the kind of spot you remember long after you’ve left. The food throughout our stay was outstanding, full stop. What truly elevates Median Palms, though, is the staff. Every single person we met was warm, attentive, and genuinely committed to making our stay perfect. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and their kindness added a layer of magic to the whole experience. And of course, the beach. Det lå tæt på stranden og centralt i Watamu. Det meste personale er rigtig søde og hjælpsomme.

Efter at have været i poolen en times tid var der en grøn belægning på vores badetøj. Det synes jeg aldrig at have oplevet før i en pool. Morgenmaden var for standarden af hotel lidt kedelig. Den sidste dag prøvede de at snyde os til at betale mere for transport til lufthavnen, og selvom det var småpenge, så synes jeg ikke det er i orden for et sted af den standard. De sender en mail om at de kan booke lufthavnstransport til en given pris, men da vi så var der bad de om cirka 20% ekstra. Efter lidt frem og tilbage fik vi det til den reklamerede pris. Det er bare et ærgerligt indtryk at sætte på en ferie.
