Medina Palms

The location is great since it’s close to other major resorts. It was the 2nd time to visit the place and unfortunately the service was bad. The lady at the gate was very unpleasant and cold to us. The other security staff also kept following us and watching us which made the experience awkward and uncomfortable.On the other hand the receptionist was very friendly and great since we wanted to book an apartment there. Rufus too at the bar was kind and very professional. He recommended some great cocktails to us. The last time we were there we passed through the pool to the bar but this time the security made us pass a route that is more like a back routine where they transport their deliveries. It’s was a very uncomfortable experience.

My experience at Medina Palms was wonderful. We spent two beautiful nights. We arrived in the afternoon and after the customary hot towel to wipe your hands and a refreshing glass of juice to cool you down, we had a short briefing after which we were allocated our rooms. I stayed in apartment 44. I loved it. The general ambience of Medina Palms is refreshing. The trees within the property gives you the impression of being in a garden. It was soothing, especially with the warm clumate if Watamu. The swimming us a long strectch, leading towards the beach, culminating in an infinity pool. The beach is lovely. Once you step out on to the beach, you're inside the Watamu Marine National Park under the management of Kenya Wildlife Service KWS. The food qas good. Choices at breakfast buffet may be limited, but was very good. Lunch and dinner was usually at the Amandini Garden restaurant and was a la carte. I had a couple of wonderful delicious meals. Can't forget the carrot soup. Medina Palms is an absolutely beautiful environment to be. I can't wait to return there. I highly recommend it, eapecially if you have a large group.

We had the most AMAZING holiday at Medina Palms. The Beach Villa exceeded expectations - especially the birthday design on the bed to welcome us! The staff were brilliant - a special shout at to Emmanuel who cleaned our room and Dixon the Personal Trainer in the gym. Breakfast was delicious and the variety was impressive. Dinner at the restaurant was fabulous - not cheap - but worth it!
