Medina Palms

We had a fantastic stay at Medina Palms in Watamu after a week-long safari – it was the perfect spot for a relaxing holiday! I stayed here with my two teenage children, and we loved every minute. The accommodation was clean, bright, modern, and very comfortable. The entire resort is beautiful, with several pools and lovely, well-kept surroundings. The food was excellent, especially the breakfast buffet – a real highlight! Dinner by the small pool in the evening was magical. The staff were incredibly friendly, warm-hearted, and had a great sense of humor. There was always something to laugh about, and everyone went out of their way to make our stay special. Shout-out to Alex, who took great care of us by the pool! The beach bar not only looks amazing but also serves delicious food. A special mention goes to the spa – we absolutely loved it! Shout-out to Winnie, and an extra special thank you and triple shout-out to Milkah – hands down the best day treatment and massage I ever had! Highly recommend Medina Palms if you're looking for a beautiful, relaxing, and heartwarming escape. Note for future visitors: If you're traveling in July or August, be aware that the beach may be covered in seaweed due to the recent rainy season. During our stay, the strong tides made swimming in the ocean impossible. However, snorkeling was still doable and a wonderful experience.

Very slow , no attention to details

Great experience. We love Medina Palms. The staff were very professional and friendly. The environment was very clean with lots of greenery. The hotel could do more in offering a wider variety on their food menu.

Wir hatten die Suite deluxe und waren sehr zufrieden. Alles sehr grosszügig geschnitten, viel Stauraum, komplette Küche in der man sogar gut kochen könnte, tip top sauber, alles hell und freundlich eingerichtet. Schönes Pools, gepflegter tropischer Garten, extrem freundliches Personal.

Der Strand ist wegen der Gezeiten nicht immer gut zum liegen und schwimmen. War für uns aber kein Problem da wir gerne in verschiedene Beachclubs gefahren sind.

We have just spent 10 days at the hotel and had a truly magical stay. Watamu is beautiful and the Medina Palms is in a fantastic location. The food was amazing - especially breakfast - and a real highlight was the level of service and hospitality with the staff making us feel like family. Our teenage twins loved snorkelling on the reef and spending hours in the hotel pool. Emmanuel and Bosco made us feel so at home. A huge thank you Medina Palms for giving us a holiday of a lifetime!
