Medina Palms

High-end hotel with nice ambience, friendly staff, spacious and clean rooms and comfortable beds. We stayed for 4 nights at Median Palms and we really had time to relax and recharge after the safari we did before. We've been pleasantly surprised by at the checkin when they upgraded our room to a spacious villa. Additionally, there is a a water sports center on the beach where our kids took wind-surfing lessons.

The breakfast could be more creative but overall it was good. The service in the on-site restaurant in slow (as we have experienced in every place we dined out in Kenya)

The hotel grounds are delightful : pools excellent . Rooms - really would benefit from a refurb. I was surprised not to have fresh water bottles by the bed and not to have face flannels replaced . The breakfast is poor and the spa disappoints . Just not what I'd hoped for a five star price

Nice location, lovely rooms

A bit bland architecturally and pools were not interesting. No food or drinks allowed near pools. Restaurant allowed smoking, which was annoying even outside.

The gardens are superb and the pools excellent . Rooms spacious but tired with a few things missing - no flannels and no bottled water which for the price I would have expected .

Rooms tired : no bottled water no flannels Breakfast and the room were poor and not what I expected for quite an expensive hotel ( over £220 per night) Spa disappointing and needs better quality products that smell pleasant

Beach front n mosquito repellent n net service

Nothing much save for the food- but it was great food not just what we are used to.

Location spacious rooms good gym

Too many small pools and no big pool. No views from any of the restaurants and everywhere very dark and poorly lit. Cleaning staff gardeners security all lovely but others (waiters etc) seem to be waiting for tips
